Hello fellow community members,

I'v released my very first movie based around DCS: World. It would make my day if you guy's would check it out! I hope it inspires others to try and make their own! (I must say it was a pain in the ASS to make;)) It took me a few days to make and countless mistakes to overcome. Such as fraps RANDOMLY closing (not to be unexpected of course) and Sony Vegas randomly crashing (with unsaved work might I add which I had to either re-record or forget about it)

All in all this is my absolute best for my first movie and I hope you all enjoy it. Please like and subscribe if you enjoy it! Leave a comment telling me what you think!

you can find the movie here-

Happy flying! :pilotfly:

I did not make any movie so maybe you'll hate me commenting on yours. Still here are my thoughts:

1. Music is too fast paced by comparision with action.

2. Too much cockpit view.

3. Fast paced action in cockpit can be catced flying low, in canyons, over the cities.. etc

4. You have to refine your camera movement and position angle.

6. The ground activity looks like an abandoned airfield. Try add some more static objects arround.

7. Use shorter sequences but richer in action. Staying in cockpit waiting for missile to come looks more like a tutorial. If long sequence of flying is your target, then add a spoken story or a dialog over it.

8. Some post effects could add a plus.

And one general observation applied to 90% of DCS movies I saw is that they are too impersonate. Mostly machines are presented, but very few human touch. Yes this is a sort of DCS limitation and require some extra effort and imagination to catch it, but the final effect could be tremendous.

This beeing said, I do appreciate your effort Gargoyle and hope to take my comments in a positive manner in order to improve your next approaches.

Oh...and don't let anyone to discourage You in making these videos. You will never satisfy everyone and it's really difficult to prepare, arrange and cut the video to have the best possible output. I think it's awesome, considering it's Your premiere. :-)
