RyanBurnsRed Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I play the Steam version of DCS and have started to experience complete system freezes when switching from multiplayer to single player, single player to multiplayer, exiting a server, or even from single player missions back to the main menu. What I mean by complete system freezes, is that the screen freezes. The mouse cursor moves around, but I can't click on anything. It's completely unresponsive. Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't even work. I have to hard restart my PC every time. If I'm talking on Teamspeak then my mic stays on since my push-to-talk key is Ctrl. My system specs are: Intel Xeon X5650 @ 4.0Ghz Asus Rampage III Formula HyperX 12GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600Mhz EVGA GTX 760 2GB Superclocked Windows Vista Ultimate x64 I've uploaded my Dxdiag info if it's needed. I'd like some help to resolve this or know what the issue is because it's very annoying when it's starting to happen more and more frequently. The only module I have is the F-86F, however this happens even when I play single player missions in the TF-51 and back out to the main menu.DxDiag.txt [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ED Team NineLine Posted September 7, 2014 ED Team Posted September 7, 2014 Have you added or changed anything since this started happening? Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
RyanBurnsRed Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 No I haven't. It just seems to be getting more frequent. It's really strange. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ED Team NineLine Posted September 7, 2014 ED Team Posted September 7, 2014 Have you tried to do a verify in Steam? Also for the heck of it, it might be worth installing the stand alone and see if its something with your Steam version Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
RyanBurnsRed Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 I just did a verify cache on Steam and it replaced 1 file. Not sure if this is/was the cause of the problem. I'll have to see though. If I still have the problem I'll try the standalone version and see if it's okay there. But then again who knows...it might take awhile for it to show up in that one too :/ But I'll reply when anything comes up. And thanks in advance by the way. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

RyanBurnsRed Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 Really? Hmm...but it's weird that it would start out of nowhere and then progressively get worse. I've been busy with college so I haven't had much time to play around with it, but the couple of times I tried it I didn't have any problems. Wondering if the file Steam replaced was the cause of the problem, but I don't want to jinx it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
