Python Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 These appeared on BTDs Soundcloud page, but he left a bit of mystery as to what they may be for. -1 So, get your bets in, new modules, trailers? What do you think might fit well with these sounds? I like them whatever they may be. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

NRG-Vampire Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 DCS Flaming Cliffs : Su-33 ? ^ aircraft model is nice, cockpit model is super, needs the AFM i think (hope) it will come right after the Su-27: DCS Flaming Cliffs, surely before the DCS: F-18C comes
Python Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 You'd think the F-18 and the L-39 may be a little far off, but then who knows.. I know it isn't the Hawk. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pepec9124 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Older fits L-39 New fits some cool high tech jet, maybe Su-33. Don't ask why or how :music_whistling:
VincentLaw Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) DCS Flaming Cliffs : Su-33 ? ^ aircraft model is nice, cockpit model is super, needs the AFM i think (hope) it will come right after the Su-27: DCS Flaming Cliffs, surely before the DCS: F-18C comesProbably not. AFM/PFM landing gear do not currently work properly with aircraft carriers. I doubt they would release an Su-33 PFM prior to revising carrier ops, which is being done for the F/A-18C. I agree that the new sound tracks may be for the F/A-18C and L-39. Definitely something recent since the older aircraft modules had retro themes. Flagrum Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 If someone would put a gun at my head and force me to guess, I'd say the first track is for the F/A-18 and the second for the L-39. The former is somewhat more dynamic and agressive and the latter more "flowing".
Python Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 Yeah maybe, I'm just wondering if we have a surprise or two before the F-18c and the L-39, or maybe he just has these ready well before they are due.... the Fly by sound would have helped lol. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
NRG-Vampire Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Probably not. AFM/PFM landing gear do not currently work properly with aircraft carriers. ^ ? ? ? we are not playing the same simulator ? :dunno: because for me only the afm/efm/pfm works for landing on carriers (especially on the vinson), with sfm no way to land on the vinson, aicrafts always crash with sfm almost sure, we will get new carrier models with much better collision models as well, hopefully those carriers will come into dcsw prior to release date of the f-18c
VincentLaw Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 ^ ? ? ? we are not playing the same simulator ? :dunno:It is possible to land SFM on the Vinson, you just need to reduce your vertical speed more when landing. The problem is that tail hooks don't work on the Vinson because the arresting force is oriented the wrong direction for players, so it bounces you back into the air instead of stopping the airplane. As for AFM/PFM, the problem is mainly what I refer to as the "slippery deck" bug. If the ship is moving at all, AFM/PFM vehicles will slowly slide off the deck and into the water. There is also a problem with the F-15C in 1.2.10 that its colllision model does not work properly with the aircraft carriers. It just falls through the ship deck instead of landing on it. I have not tested other AFM/PFM airplanes for this in 1.2.10. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
