EDIT: Please use all .sdef files. They are also included in DCS World like that. Iam just writing this down here cause some of the files are included twice in DCS like the *Planecannon.sdef* .

because of a dcs-bug.

@ Upupandaway Vanilla Plays a wrong sound file when the Gun of the SU-25 is fired. (KPVT)

To prevent the Sound of the SU-25 Gun is Played on a ground unit which uses the KPVT machinegun sound, i desided to use a .ogg which is played correctly.

 

Proplem i noticed here : The external Gun sound of the SU-25 is still the KPVT sound.

Isegrim, the gun sounds that I am using are from upupandaway mod and they are excellent.

 

But your "engines in" sounds ... well, I wonder how I have played until now SU-25. It gives me now a great sense of engines power, it sounds proper when one engine is out... I will add this engine mod to my must have! Thank you for that.

 

I am very glad that lately SU-25's receive some love from community:

- this engineIN sounds

- glass canopy

- english cockpit

- gun sounds

 

This plane is much much more enjoyable now.

 

EDIT: I saw after your gun sound notification. I was not aware about that. 10x

Ah ok, but I think it´s not the KPVT. It sounds more like the default "PlaneCannon" to me. That´s an old one - so old that I forgot about it. :D

Small update after the Update. :)

 

You have to rename or the Gsch301.wav and Gsch301In.wav in your DCS WORLD\Sound\Effects\Weapons\Automatic Folder to: Gsch301BU.wav and Gsch301InBU.wav (Simply as Backups)

 

Or the Gunsounds will not work.

 

I will fix this as good and soon i can these days.

Love your work, but I think the cannon sounds a bit weak.

In this

from a NATO exercise in my country you can hear the cannon sounding almost as loud as the A-10 one (mind some of the runs are rockets ones).

The Proplem in this situation is the DCS Sound engine.

The WHOAAHH effect for engines is a bit lowered then the initial sounds. On new ones I feel a bit better the transition from idle to full and backwards. The sound level is perfect for both variants.

 

Regarding guns, I don't know what to expect but they sound ok.
