Any suggestions on how to prevent the track IR camera from losing site of the clip on my hat?

I placed it directly on top of my monitor at head level. It's probably 24 inches from me.

Mainly having problems with pitch but it's pretty jerky in general.

I'd move it further in front of me but I can't due to my wall!

I'm using Track IR 5.

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Try to line it up as close to the same level as the clip as possible. If it is too high or too low it will lose sight and do all kinds of weird things... Also, turn around and look and see if there is any other light source in the background. I fought with mine for the longest time before I figured out that the light in the next room was screwing it up. I turn that light off now before any TIR sessions and it works great..

After a few years the reflectors on a hat clip gets worse, maybe buy one extra or get a pro clip.

or

Select Display Camera and try get the headclip in the middle like this;

It will also reveal lightsources that can ruin the stability, sunlight/ reflections is a killer.
