Mrgud Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I also tried few take-offs and landings and doesn't have that problem. I even tried hard landing and tires were ok. I was without payload and about 1000L of fuel. John, thanks for the link for change log! Somehow I've missed it...
Skulleader Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 Hello guys, Ok now everything is OK, with 350 km/h for approach and 300 km/h for landing now it's good. John, a great thanks for your track... Bye, Skull. drack Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) HI skull, Just managed to do some touch & go's without bursting a tire. It can be done but things still need turning down a bit with the bounce at rolling speed. Hope track file helps. Touch and go's mig21.trk edit:-I see your earlier post now. Now you landing good. Edited October 12, 2014 by drack
golani79 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 The MiG was bouncing like crazy after the update and I couldn´t take off without impacting one or even both wings on the ground due to the shaking. Thanks for pointing out the issue with the control assignments - after changing a few things it´s back to normal  >> DCS liveries by golani79 <<
Kenan Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Had three landings in a row, no issues. Had less then 600 liters of fuel and no payload (pre-take off setup)..I believe I landed with 400-500 liters (first landing). Generally, if you're light (low fuel), no or light payload (say R60s) AND your vertical speed doesn't exceed 3m/s on touchdown, you should be fine. And of course, breaking should be initiated below 320km/h ground speed. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . Aeons Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Take off and landing seem to not have changed for me. The same old bumpy ride down the tarmac. Btw did the alpha testers etc actually simulate take offs in this thing? It's crazy, feels like rally car driving.
Kenan Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 It's definetely LESS bumpy for me during T/Os and landings.. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . Croatian radio chat for DCS World
xxJohnxx Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 It's definetely LESS bumpy for me during T/Os and landings.. That is probably just imagination. There was nothing about the flight model nor about the suspension on the release change log. Aeons Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 That is probably just imagination. There was nothing about the flight model nor about the suspension on the release change log. im guessing different load outs and take-off run distance/speeds can make it seem different. question: are all the runways in DCS modelled exactly the same as each other? e.g. flat, smoothness with no curvature? btw, I jumped into the A-10C last night and the cockpit graphics felt like it was 20 years old compared to the Mig-21bis (computer modelling terms). Leatherneck really did a great job on the Mig-21bis cockpit, feels and looks greats to fly. after looking at the preview pics (still not finished work of course),the SU-27 flanker that will soon be released, that cockpit detail also looks plain and old compared to the mig-21bis cockpit!! :joystick:
Shaddowdog Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I find since the new update that the landings are either much easier or I am getting better at it. Maybe a little of both.
