Sokol1_br Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 The Windows have a limit of 32 buttons, HAT and 8 axis. JoyToKey use this limit - for up to 16 layers (joystick physical or virtual).
223rd Brian Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 TM warthog target gui thing has an option for making chains of commands in sequence from one button. I have mine set to switch through AA and AG stations sequentially.
Sokol1_br Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) For make a HAT... turn the Mig-21 Weapon Selector is need use several (11) layers/profiles. E.g. press the HAT up chance for IR missile and load other profile (e.g. 2), in this new profile press HAT again change for Radar missile and load other profile (e.g. 3) ... etc. Press down change for previous weapon (e.g. IR) and load the previous profile (e.g.2) , etc. Probable with TARGET advanced programming is easy do this. I dont have a clue (or TARGET). :) Edited January 9, 2016 by Sokol1_br
ApoNOOB Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Years gone by, still no love from devs. Honestly I haven't touched the MiG-21 in a long time because of this, I am just too annoyed by this. A buddy asked today if he should buy it, after explaining the situation (since release!) with the weapon selector (and similar commands) he reconsidered. MiG-21 still not finished. :)
1.JaVA_Platypus Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 The solution is really quite simple. Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
1.JaVA_Platypus Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Nice, but no easy or cheap solution... :) It depends on where your definition of 'easy' and cheap is. I allready had the BU8036X from an Il-2_1946 project lying around and the switch itself is a few euros. Making panels and wiring switches is like a second nature to me. Programming a dozen or so profiles for the same keypress sounds complicated to me. And I don't like to be forced to start-up two or three different programs before I enter DCS-World. I like to show a different solution. The same problem can be solved without the need for complicated programming. That is complicated to me. I got a few Rotary encoders, just in case Leatherneck decides to change the key assignments. :smartass: Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
Dafiew Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Anyone knows if we can put the old commands in there? having to toggle the nav lights with one button having to look outside to see the state which it's in is ridiculous when you had a button for each state before using MFD Simflyin' since 1985 :smartass:
Dafiew Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 You can just look down at the switch.... Of course but I find it really odd that they removed separate bindings "dumbing down" the controls why not leave them there for those who want to use them? Just like the canopy I had different buttons for open/close, lock/unlock, etc Now I have to use it as a toggle... Thank god the ASP bindings are still separate can't imagine looking at switches to see which mode you're in in the middle of a fight with a mirage LOL Simflyin' since 1985 :smartass:
Sokol1_br Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 "Drama" solved. :D *MiG-21 Changelog 5/2/2016** Here are the changes made to the MiG-21 December. These fixes should be available in the next patch: Added Weapon Selector Left/Right input command
zaelu Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 Yes, finally after one year I can use my Rotary encoder to turn left and right the darn thing. 4 other buttons are free! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
Sokol1_br Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Mig-21 commands "drama queen" is no more. image url upload
FeistyLemur Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Looking forward to using this, but mine is greyed out on everything but the keyboard. It won't let me choose any of my other devices to bind keys. Anyone know what to do about this?
FeistyLemur Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) Realized I have the wrong thread for what I'm thinking of so I cleared this message. Edited February 18, 2016 by FeistyLemur
