F-15 C weapon release problem

Hi all. been learning to use the F-15C systems and having a problem. after i switch to BVR mode, lock the enemy aircraft, select ether the AIM 7 or AIM 120C and wait till in the correct missile range - when i press the weapon release button or the weapon shoot button on my X-55 HOTAS instead of fireing the missile it shoots the cannon instead. tryed rebinding the keys and clearing the keboard bindings but nether worked.

You have to press the key for more than a second, this is so in real life too.

Look in your Options for the F15C

 

Weapon Fire = Guns

Weapon Release = Missiles

What Mav said. It's a little confusing at first because there is the "cannon" option listed in the control list. I thought that was to fire the cannon but it's not. It's to select your cannon.

I am having the same problem releasing a missile. Have been away for a while but have returned an am making a jump into the DCS world of FC3 with the F15. I am converting my CH Fighterstick/Throttle maps from LOMAC. Missile release for the F15 was the command ENT. I have tried both enter keys and space key. cannon fores fine but no missile. Help please

Problem fixed -I uninstalled everything DCS related and re-installed and all is working now.
