Ka50 rudder trim unchain as an Option

PeterP brought us an excellent mod for unchaining the rudder trim for Ka50 peterp's bs2 trimmer.

 

However, it requires to install/uninstall the mod to enable/disable that functionality with central trim disabled!

 

Here I modified his mod and make it as an option beside the original central trim.

The logic is:

if central trim is checked, then no matter whether this unchain is checked or not, it will not work (rudder is trimmed)

if central trim is unchecked and the rudder trimmer is unchecked, then during flight, the rudder will be independent from the trim

 

I believe this will make PeterP's mod more flexible and easier to use. Hope ED can make an official update for this option (or if possible, use mine :D).

Thanks for this mod; I've been hoping for an options selectable version for a while now. I like your idea better than the one implemented in my TARGET profile (which is just tapping ,/. to neutralize rudder prior to trimming).

 

However, whether I check the box or not, I still have pedals chained to the trim function. CPTM is not checked (no boxes are).

 

I attempted checking Rudder Trim once, doing an instant action, then unchecking it and doing instant action on the chance that it needed to be toggled. Still no luck.

 

Any ideas?

Still no luck with me. I looked at your logic and it is sound, so I'm not sure what the issue could be.

 

EDIT: did get it running with PeterP's original mod, though I had to rename the aircrafts folder to aircraft. :doh:

have you installed other mods that also modify some files exist in this mod? Could you uninstall others and install this only? my friend tested v2 version, no malfunc report.

Removing the MOD solves the issue. using Ver. 3.

Thx for reporting. Since I don't use mirror, so never noticed that.

(quite busy before break) I will find some time to figure it out.

 

ps. what about directly using peterp's mod?
