VTJS17_Fire Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Hi Devs, with the implementation of the electrical power to all FC3 aircraft, there are some "logical" bugs, regarding this. If I don't have electrical power on: + I shouldn't turn on the navigation lights and + I shouldn't crank up the engines. Plus, there are no wing pylons anymore (see here). kind regards, Fire Hardware: Intel i5 4670K | Zalman NPS9900MAX | GeIL 16GB @1333MHz | Asrock Z97 Pro4 | Sapphire Radeon R9 380X Nitro | Samsung SSDs 840 series 120GB & 250 GB | Samsung HD204UI 2TB | be quiet! ED Team cofcorpse Posted November 9, 2014 ED Team Posted November 9, 2014 + I shouldn't crank up the engines. F-15 doesn't have any battery. JFS is started with hydraulics. So, you can try to launch engines. I'll got to check about full start. Thanks for comments!
GGTharos Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) No you're right, the jfs will provide limited power for just enough systems to start the engines and power the fire suppression systems, you have to wait for the engine generator to trip over to power all the electronics. AUS_Twisted Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Is it possible to modify a file to disable / enable the pylons, say for instance a display setup where they are not needed which makes the F-15 also look cleaner? :)
VTJS17_Fire Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Thanks GG and Cofcorpse for the information. But then: Why elektrical power option for the FC 3 F-15C? I don't have any systems to set up, prior to start up. The only system which is affected by this feature, are the cockpit illumination and nav lights. And one question left: If the Eagle doesn't have any battery, does this mean that all the things/ settings (Flightplan, Radar etc.) could only set/ programmed after the start-up? kind regards, Fire PS: Will we get a Pilot for the Eagle, too? GGTharos Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 It's an FC3 plane. Maybe cofcorpse will make this part more realistic (no electronics unless you get external power in, or until the generator trips when you spool the engine up), maybe he won't have time. I think there are bigger fish to fry personally :) Regarding programming flight plans etc: Those are actually programmed before you ever step into the plane AFAIK (on a computer specifically set up with software help you do all this relatively easily), and you take them with you on a data cartridge. You load this data once the aircraft is powered up. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
SDsc0rch Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 ... PS: Will we get a Pilot for the Eagle, too? i realize people may prefer this, but there are others (me, for one) who like it the way it is - sans pilot i can tell already, this sets ED up for "damned if you do - damned if you don't" maybe the best course for consumers would be to make a visible "pilot" an option in the settings but as soon as i say that, what happens? MORE time/effort/bugs for the devs... : ( i7-4790K | Asus Sabertooth Z97 MkI | 16Gb DDR3 | EVGA GTX 980 | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | Panasonic TC-58AX800U [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
