Hey guy's, I've been using a Force Feedback 2 for ages, the motors inside the stick finally stopped working, so I'm hunting for a new one, I would love to get the HOTAS Warthog, unfortunately my budget is about $100.. Any recommendations would be most appreciated.

After all that time with FFB, I have a suspicion that not having FFB is going to bother you a lot, no matter what stick you get.

Yeah, I fear that as well.. Started with the Original Force feedback in the mid 90's, moved onto the force feedback 2 & Force Feedback Wheel.. I'm sure it'll just take a bit of time to get used to a new stick, I've been playing Mig 21 & 190 without plugging the power into the stick, so it's literally like using a wet noodle. The feedback itself isn't a big deal, it's just a matter of having a firm/stiff stick not something that wobbles all over the place.

I'm not 100% sure the motor is dead, it was more of an assumption, when I plug the power cable into the stick it starts making a very loud squealing sound when I move it across the axis's the sound intensifies greatly. So I assumed it was a motor issue. Albeit I found it a bit strange because one day it was working absolutely fine, the next it was fubar.

Buy a new FFB and a x52 throttle and you up and flying again :)

And you will still have some money left
