britgliderpilot
just found this article, http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/10/14/the_/ Can this machine run lockon? what do you say. I think you could do better for minimal additional expenditure - if you save a little extra rather than building down to a budget, you could see a nice increase. I think every component on their specification is one step below that which it needs to be for Lomac . . . . that PC would work very nicely for the majority of other games, but not our favourite. Make it a 3400+, 1Gb RAM, and a 6600GT . . . . and THEN we're talking a nice bang for buck PC for Lomac. Oh, and remember that we need a joystick that'll probably add another $100 on top of that . . . . And probably a bigger monitor. Bottom line - you can't do Lomac for as little as $500, but it's a good exercise in checking what you need :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
hitman
for 500 bucks you can upgrade your existing computer too a better level, like a new motherboard and a new processor, and even a new video card thats halfway decent.

Pilotasso
For 500$ you get a typewriter and then you will feel the desperate to buy another very soon after. I say 1000$ for something you want to play well and to make it last. I did this for my current machine and its 18 months old. Witchking
lol....I guess we will all need upgrades for 1.2 anyways...so if u wanna go for a new PC.......wait....thats all I can say....for DX10 cards and vista....probably ed's next sim will be on DX 10 and it should be worth it. BUT it will be pretty expensive when it comes out....so u can already get a pretty good system now... I know a store that sells a x1600 512 MB AGP for 160$ canadian. You just have to look at places....NOT at futureshop or bestbuy......but at lol something like canadacomputers.com etc....cheap but reliable known places who use genuine parts. I bet yu can make a handsome system for around 800. Just shop around.
