Ramstein
Tanker training for inflight refueling? btw, I have been in a KC-135 refueling fighters when I was on active duty. Anyways, any training for this in this sim. In the past I did get some training in one of the sims I used to fly, maybe that was Falcon 4 ? cichlidfan
Are you looking for a premade mission? There isn't one from ED, AFAIK. Just use the ME to put a tanker in an orbit, and practice. Ramstein
(both red and blue sides) ) well, we have tankers up, awacs, and such, but comms, and with the awacs giving the tanker location is **working ok now..., but I cannot hook up to the tanker very easily, I know others that are successful, so it does work, but my hands must shake too much,, and in the mission creation, designation the task parameters for tankers, comms, orbit, etc... it would be nice if there were better instruction, besides calling the tanker, and asking for fuel, more technical direction,,, if that's what someone has in a mission, yes please pm me, or tell me where, thanx.. We have some very good mission builders, but, I am sure there is always stuff to learn.. and as far as there being an easy way, with a way to stay hooked up, with shaky hands, probably no such setting... thanx! Belgeode
I am not 100% sure, but I believe either the A-10C or the F-15 has a training mission that could in theory be modded to accomodate anything in the mission editor. I will have to check and come back with details for you. The only downside is you would have to make sure you have either of those items to see the mission, unless someone manages to make something more universal. edit: I found this thread here. Looks like someone made one for the A-10C. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=68563 Edited November 26, 2014 by Belgeode [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] YouTube ~ Twitch
ricktoberfest
I've used that mission and it works fine. You can go in the mission editor and just change the aircraft to whichever one you want, as long as it has the ability to air refuel
Archer7
Sabre's AFT01 mission only costs $1 available here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=62992 (Main discussion here) http://www3.sympatico.ca/tlaschuk/mapleflagmissions/dcsa10c.html (Website) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/208371/ (Download) And here's a helpful video (not really): The mission starts you at the entry of an air-to-air refuelling zone and the instructor tells you to contact the tanker, fly closer, maintain altitude, prepare your aircraft, call pre-contact and then tells you when you’re not close enough and when you’re too close, when you’re connected and when you’re disconnected, if you’re accidentally flying away from the tanker or exiting the zone and so on. You're going to have to learn how to airspeed (speedbrakes speedbrakes speedbrakes) and maintain stability (trim trim trim) yourself though!
