=Andre= Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Andrey, Trying to learn the ins and outs of your SimShaker. I appreciate one can create their own UWV files and use those as opposed to the default ones. My question is where are these stored and how does one select a user developed UWV profile. At one point I did see on my desktop an app that indicated it is simply a matter of checking a box on that image, but I cannot get that to come up again. I think it's called the Jet Seat Handler. Where one can adjust Vibration Level and select "use my own .umv files". I'm not feeling some of the effects in some of the aircraft that your layouts indicate I should be feeling, ie. the A-10C's cannon. So I thought perhaps changing it in the UWV Editor might help with that problem. Again, thanks for you help and patience. Hi Ron, As Sporg said, you should start SimChaker manually and find out JetSeat Handler window minimized. For gun fire vibe amplitude in uwv files is already set to its max value = 255. But you can move up to 100% gain slider at SimShaker first tab page (FC3 planes). It acts for all the planes. =Andre= Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 One more thing to have in mind guys is that Cannon (Gun) Fire effect may not work properly if Unlimited Ammo option is switched on. Chief1942 Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Thanks all. I must have porked something. When I click on the icon in the task bar and select "Start SimShaker for DCS World", I get the SimShaker aircraft settings, but not the Jet seat Handler. I get some crazy screen that makes no sense. Wish I could do a screen grab so you could see it. I have deleted SimShaker from my PC and reinstalled it several times. Even re-downloaded it again from the Dream Sim team website. I'll keep trying until I get this working as well as the rest of you have. Chief1942 Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Thanks Andrey Uh-oh... :shocking: Jetseat Handler starts minimized. Try to find it by pressing Alt+Tab several times. Once again following your directions, I am able to get things working. Pressing Alt + Tab does finally bring the Jet Seat Handler up, but I am still getting that other app I mentioned. Strange stuff these computers:( All in all, things are working pretty good at the moment. Just need time to get acquainted with the new "toy". Intel i5-4690K Devil's Canyon, GForce TitanX, ASUS Z-97A MB, 16GB GDDR3 GSkill mem, Samsung SSD X3,Track IR, TM Warthog, MFG Crosswind pedals, Acer XB280HK monitor,GAMETRIX KW-908 JETSEAT

Chief1942 Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Take your time. Windows 10 arrived to my PC, gents. Seems like I go through this with every new OS I install. There are enough changes that cause you to have to modify your habits regarding how the darn thing works. As has been stated on many blogs, you will want to go to the "Settings" and adjust some the settings Microsoft put into the OS, so they are to your liking. It won't be long before they (MS) will be able to tell what type of underwear we have on:music_whistling: Other than the normal adjustments and getting used to the new "visuals"in the OS, everything as regards DCSW has been working fine for me. Does seem to be a quicker responding system. Enjoy and again thanks for all your help with the JetSeat. Intel i5-4690K Devil's Canyon, GForce TitanX, ASUS Z-97A MB, 16GB GDDR3 GSkill mem, Samsung SSD X3,Track IR, TM Warthog, MFG Crosswind pedals, Acer XB280HK monitor,GAMETRIX KW-908 JETSEAT

PoleCat Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 (edited) I think you will find Windows 10 pretty excellent. I have found the upgrade from Windows 8.1 to be very smooth on multiple systems. All software and devices are working well so far and it is tad more responsive then Windows 8.1. I think most will find very little wrong with this OS. Bear in mind that you can upgrade for free if you have a previously installed qualifying version of Windows and you will be able to roll back to your previous version for 30 days after the upgrade if you do not like it or have problems (Not sure I like that you cannot roll back after this but...). I say get a good full backup image of your existing system and go check out WinX and test the waters. It's free. I did and I have no regrets. Sporg Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 As requested, I put my wish list for effects here: A special wish I have, could there be made a payload drop effect for the piston fighters as well? At least bombs and external tanks should be felt when they drop. Rockets I am not so sure of, maybe a slight snap as they leave the rails. Flaps up and down would be good for the P-51 and the FW 190 also, since they are hydraulic/motorised. Could this be done?
