We already have 2 cases when it's been broken. Do not disconnect it without necessety. Connect carefully. Thanks for the heads up from me as well. Another issue with this connector to be aware of, be sure that it is seated correctly. I sometimes had less quality in the sound pass-through, and eventually found that I could solve it by gently wiggling and pushing it for a better connection. raul2r2 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I'm long time reader of this forum, but never participated before... Andre's software pushed me to do it :) Really fascinated/intrigued with these kind of solutions; In the past I was also reviewing iVibe that follows the same principles than SimShaker + JetSeat... and simVibe. I see a lot of potential in SimShaker, but after reading the full topic and some tries with google translator and the russian topic, I continue having a lot of doubts I hope you could help me to answer. 1. My major concern is software support. Andre's work seems to be incredible... but I'm not only a DCS player. Sim racing is other of my hobbies, but racing support doesn't seems to receive the same love, neither I could find reviews how this behaves with racing titles or compares with other solutions with bass shaker like SimVibe. Any of you tested it and could give any feedback, for example, with Assetto Corsa?. 2. Sim racing has a bigger audience/scope than air simulators, making a lot more titles good cadidates to support: lfs, rfactor 2, dirt rally, rbr... huge task in itself. What is the roadmap, if any, exists around sim racing support?. 3. Regarding to the previous points and the complexities to support current and future games and its upgrades breaking the previous integrations, Andre, Do you think to support some kind of plugin integration with X-Sim (for saying one open and with a broad support of games) that avoids you the hassle of communicating with each possible game and its maintenance. Game support over time was what "killed" iVibe solution. 4. What about the feeling compairing JetSeat vs BassShaker with Sound Mode Expansion in SimShaker?. 5. Could anybody post more detailed dimensions of JetSeat 908 to see how it would adapt to my seat?. Regards... and congratulations for such excellent software!

Hi raul2r2, What is the roadmap, if any, exists around sim racing support? There is no road map. I'm sorry. Further development depends on communities requests and support. I've made couple of modules for sim racing titles to test the water. I can't see lot of pilots using them. Andre, Do you think to support some kind of plugin integration with X-Sim (for saying one open and with a broad support of games) that avoids you the hassle of communicating with each possible game and its maintenance. No, I do not have intention to do that. What about the feeling compairing JetSeat vs BassShaker with Sound Mode Expansion in SimShaker?. I have a Buttkicker and a JetSeat. The feelings are pretty close, I would say. But I like JetSeat better. That's just my opinion. Could anybody post more detailed dimensions of JetSeat 908 to see how it would adapt to my seat?. Next week I will be able to do that. I don't have KW-908 at the moment to measure it. I use KW-901. Regards... and congratulations for such excellent software! Sporg Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) Maybe it is worth showing where the vibrators are situated as well. I tried marking their approximate location on =Andre='s picture: Especially the top part can be folded around the back of one's seat, so one don't need a 70 cm high seat back to make it fit. :) Edited November 21, 2015 by Sporg System specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440) Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use

Goblin Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Has anybody taken their gametrix seat apart..? I'm thinking about stripping the electronics and vibrators from the seat cushion/cover and mounting them directly into my home made sim seat, or make a new cushion that's better suited to my seat...

I did. Mine integrated in to my sim-pit made out of auto-seat. Works just fine. Всех убью, один останусь!

Goblin Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Don't mix up left and right side motors. Right! No, left! ;) I will give each motor a number, and make a drawing of their postition. :)

Hehe, you are reading my mind. ;) Well, I have been thinking, the original Gametrix cushion might not last forever. So have been considering, if the fabric fails one day, I will try to build the vibrators into some other form of cushion. Actually it might be a good idea, as mentioned earlier, to build them right into a seat. :) Edited November 20, 2015 by Sporg System specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440) Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use
Chief1942 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Andre, a question. I have the Jetseat 908 that has 8 separate motors as shown in post 435 above, but in the GameTrix JetSeat Control panel, I can only test 6 of those. Is there an updated Control Panel that allows testing all 8 motors? Gametrix Control Panel tests all 8 motors, and afaik there is no updated version. I wonder is there something wrong with the motors so you want them to test thoroughly? Chief1942 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Andre, What I am trying to determine is whether the effects I feel from the two motors situated at the rear of the bottom portion of the seat are functioning correctly or even at all. When I do the test I definitely can tell when motors 1 through 6 are working, but not those two at the rear. Are they interconnected to the lower two motors on the upper part of the seat and activate at the same time? I really don't get as strong a vibration from the lower back two that I get from the rest. Just trying to make sure the seat is working properly. Thanks. Chief1942 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Andre, Thank you for the clarification. I just couldn't tell if the vibration from the lower/rear motors were actually from those motors or whether I was just feeling the output of the lower/fronts, which appears to be a stronger signal. All's good now. Necroscope Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 That's good news! Any particular pitfalls I should be aware of, besides avoid cutting the cables? ;) I've cut mine to extend them to fit to seat. Not a problem at all. Only thing you should care is the placement of capsules with motors - you should place them in correct position to feel vibration once they are on, but not feel them once they turned off. Mine were inserted right under seat cover. Всех убью, один останусь!
