Hate to trouble you again Andrey, but i am getting one of those Unhandled Exceptions again and can't figure out how to get it fixed. I do notice that when I start the SimShaker it does not load the Jet Seat handler. Not sure how to go about getting it back online again . The seat is working via the Jet Seat Control Panel, just get this "exception" whenever I start DCSW. Any ideas?

Hi Ron,

I need to see details of the exception.

Andrey,

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it prior to the above post. Unless I did something wrong during the re-installation, the problem remains. If you would be so kind and review the installation steps with me. I went to your site and followed those procedures during the reinstall but may have made an error with the Firmware part of the procedure.

You have no need to reload the firmware. Just go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> find and select SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS - > press Uninstall

After uninstall process completed download setup file here and install SimShaker.

Andrey,

Then I actually did precisely what you said above. No joy. I continue to get the Microsoft .Net Framework "unhandled exception" as soon as I click Start SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS.

Am removing it again and will try another reinstall. Stand by. Thanks for your help.

No. Same result. ould be my Norton AV. I'll shut all that off and keep trying.

Andrey,

Not sure what the heck is going on. I did another reinstall and now when I open the application I get a second icon in my taskbar that when I click on it's ibaSeatJetseatv handler I get the following message:

" Form load:Network port is busy. Check if another JetSeat Handler is already running. " My JetSeat was running fine before yesterday and I haven't made any changes to my computer that could be causing this. I'm stumped.

Just tested it again. I think it is working. I'll need to change some settings. Thanks for your patience with an old man.

Andrey, Am fully up and functioning once again. As you might imagine, once one gets the feedback that one gets from the JetSeat, it is difficult to fly without it. Especially the stall feedback in the prop planes. Some of the effects are like eye candy, nice but not really necessary, but the feedback that one gets from NOT flying the plane within it's parameters actually makes for more proficient flying. Gotta' have this seat!!

Hey all. I got my Jetseat. It's pretty neat. Still learning how to use it, adjusting sliders and such but seems to be working fine. Like to thank Andrey for his help in getting it to me. I sent him the money and he posted it the same day. Thanks Andrey. It came just one day short of three weeks. Pretty good considering the distance involved. Thanks again Andrey and to you all as well. Bzzzzzzz, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, bzzzzzzzzzzzzz...Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

There is only one thing that concerns me about my JetSeat. What if I wear it out? I hope Andrey can continue to acquire them for us. I may have to order another to keep as a backup.:joystick: Now that I have used it I can't imagine flying without it. Would be no different than giving up my rudder pedals.

KW-901 and KW-908 models seems to be wearproof. My first one, KW-901, is still in good fit, since 2012.

Andre,

My gametrix seat arrived today, and I have some questions about what to do next: Noob Alert.

1. Can I or can't I use my MS Sidewinder FFB Joystick with this in DCS?

2. How do I access the control panels for SimShaker and gametrix?

3. Is there an English language owners manual available? I think many of my questions will be answered, if I have the manuals.

Thanks,

badfinger

The Kw-908 mentioned by Andre earlier in the thread which went missing en route to Ireland has shown up on the local postal system. I should have it in a few days.

I'm posting to let others know in case the fact it went missing put them off ordering from Andre. I would also like to reiterate the great service which he has provided trying to establish the seats whereabouts. God knows where it was for the past two months since it left Russia but I'm glad to see its nearly here.

Thanks again Andre!

Can anyone in the USA that bought a Gametrix Jetseat from Andre tell me where to find a Russian plug-to-USA plug adapter? Amazon seems to be fixated on people in the USA going to Russia.

Also, did you need a voltage converter?

Thanks,

1. The FFB in the game is independent from the seat software, so you should be able to use your MS Sidewinder FFB AFAIK.

2. The Gametrix and SimShaker software can be found in the Start Menu, the latter in the folder "Dream Sim Team".

But for SimShaker I find it easier to access it from the icon in the notification area. Right click and choose "Start SimShaker".

3. For SimShaker you can find instructions on their website:

http://dreamsimteam.blogspot.ru/p/simshaker.html

For the Gametrix seat there seems to be only the Russian manual.

However I have made a copy with English translations of each paragraph, I attach it to this post.

You should look for an EU to US adapter, like this:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_5?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=eu+to+us+adapter&sprefix=EU+to%2Caps%2C257

The label on the power adapter for the seat says that it can handle down to 100 V so a voltage converter should not be necessary.

Hope this helps. smile.gif

Sporg,

Thank you for translating those instructions. A couple questions, though. I didn't see any place talking about what to do with the USB plug. That makes me wonder. I am using the Logitech G430 headphone/mike. It is set up to either use a USB plug, or the sound card. At the moment, I am using the USB plug. If its OK to go the USB route, do I do anything with the other plugs?

Again thanks,

I don't know if you mean the USB plug on the seat?

That one you connect to your PC and install drivers for the seat.

For your headset, if you use the USB plug on that, you cannot use sound pass-through mode on your seat.

But that mode is only used in games that do not have support for the seat.

(Or for playing music while getting a nice seat massage. ;) )

SimShaker handles your seat through its USB connection, so in DCS it doesn't matter what you use on your headset.

The audio plugs on the seat are only used for the sound pass-through mode.
