DCS updater yet again.

Yet again... the updater fails to update my game.

 

The full re-install was as recent as version:

1.2.12.34915.571

 

Antivirus Avast off.

Malware byte off.

 

CMD ( admin mode ),

 

cd C:\program files\eagle dynamics\dcs world\bin\

 

followed by:

 

dcs_updater.exe update
dcs_updater.exe update 1.2.12
dcs_updater.exe update 1.2.12.35194

 

As of right now this issue seems different as the previous one as the "world" module is not missing from my autoupdate.cfg

Version 1.2.12.35194 is only available in the Open Beta branch atm. You seem to have tried to update the regular installation?

Are you sure it isn't available? I can not join any server, and if that isn't the specific update, then none beyond the current install I have.

 

I have tried regular command line update 1.2.12 aswell which ended up with no result.

That post is less than 12 hours old. It should only be an Open Beta update at this time.

That command will update to the latest version of 1.2.12, which appears to be what you have installed so there was nothing to do.

Then what would be the alternative cause of "Connection interrupted" while joining any MP session. I feel it unlikely they have suddenly moved standard to beta-version ( towards which indeed my version would be incompatible. )

 

As of now I assure you it is not.

I have no idea. I agree, the servers are unlikely to be running the Open Beta.

You might be surprised at the number of server that are indeed running open beta. I personally fly the open beta exclusively. My main branch install leads a lonely life on a secondary HDD;)

None at all, this is a fresh install from the previous 1.2.12 release, because I had another problem with that corrupt install as-well...

I last played the open-beta to check out the SU-27, and couldn't find as many as you might seem to mention, but anyway even the Virtual aerobatics server is inaccessible to me...
