simo1000rr Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Hello guys, Im having a problem with Azimuth scanning zone width , When im in the STT mode i have no problem switching between 30' and 60' azimuth width on both side but when i switch to TWS mode its only allows me to be in the width of 30' only i can't seem to be able to switch to the 60' wide . is that how it is because in the manual the picture shows the TWS mode with azimuth width of 60'. Is the control for switching between 30' and 60' different from STT mode to that in the TWS mode ( Rctrl + =or- )
simo1000rr Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 TWS azimuth is limited to 60 deg. I assume by 60' you mean 30' to the left and 30' to the right , but the manual is showing otherwise. check the attached page taken from the manual and it shows the VSD in TWS mode with azimuth width of 120 degree. But anyway thanks for the quick response in that case i know that the manual maybe not correct in this regard.f15.pdf
104th_Maverick Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 That screen shot is from FC2 where we used to be able to do a full 60 degree scan in TWS, we can no longer do this, only 30 degree scan. Yes it is 30 left and 30 right while in RWS :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 104th Phoenix Wing Commander / Total Poser / Elitist / Hero / Chad www.104thPhoenix.com www.facebook.com/104thPhoenix My YouTube Channel
Svend_Dellepude Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 unless anything changed with latest update? RWS is 120° (±60°) and TWS 60° (±30°) slewable over the entire span of 120°. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.
will- Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Not true. Switch back a few updates. You can get 60 deg. It was only recently cut. 1.27 Intel i9-9900K 32GB DDR4, RTX 2080tiftw3, Windows 10, 1tb 970 M2, TM Warthog, 4k 144hz HDR g-sync.
SDsc0rch Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 would like to see the FULL functionality of the F-15s radar - at least the version that's being modeled.. az and el can be selected there's a bullseye datablock contacts don't "blink" as you turn - the radar contact symbology actually "moves" across the screen smoothly (blink is a terrible term, i know - don't know a more descriptive word) missile fly-out indications etcetc i7-4790K | Asus Sabertooth Z97 MkI | 16Gb DDR3 | EVGA GTX 980 | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | Panasonic TC-58AX800U [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
104th_Maverick Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Probably have to wait for DCS F-15C for that I'd imagine as it would present far to much of an advantage for the Eagle, in FC3 anyway. Super Search mode alone would scare everyone and his dog away :D 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 104th Phoenix Wing Commander / Total Poser / Elitist / Hero / Chad www.104thPhoenix.com www.facebook.com/104thPhoenix My YouTube Channel

GGTharos Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 It's 15nm. You've got an old -34. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
