Buzzles Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Yes, it would be nice hopefully with the related effect on the physics (eg, slippery runways), and probably cockpit raindrops as well so we'd have a better indication of the fact it is wet outside. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
Devrim Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 It can be exist as an option, but... come on guys, we're fighting against FPS here. :) Nevertheless, raindrops on canopy effect has priority compared to this one, in my opinion. rcjonessnp175 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 You should not limit graphical settings because your worried people will complain bad fpS. Make it all optional for those that have the hardware to run the sim fully maxed out. Leave the choice to for us. I get tired of people catering to the whiners when the whiners have crap pcs I7 4770k @ 4.6, sli 980 evga oc edition, ssdx2, Sony 55 inch edid hack nvidia 3dvision. Volair sim pit, DK2 Oculus Rift.
schroedi Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Hmm, a slippery or even snowy runnway would be challenging.
ebabil Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 with edge 2.0 we will see these effects , and a option to disable them if people need more frames. is it a guess or hope or an information? NeilWillis Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 There is already a loss of grip in wet conditions. The A-10C skids all over the place when you brake in the wet. Try it yourself!
cichlidfan Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 is it a guess or hope or an information? One of the first two, I would say, since ED certainly hasn't made such a statement. McBlemmen Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Nevertheless, raindrops on canopy effect has priority compared to this one, in my opinion. I was just about to say this. I think (i'm not sure , its been a long time since i've flown in wet weather) that there are some visual effects on the canopy , but definately not enough. Here's hoping edge will improve both wet canopy's and wet runways :) Right now you can barely tell its raining. Hope it will someday look like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yb1W4O_IWZI (first 30ish seconds)
