I flew FC3 last night.

I loaded four 9's and four 7's plus three bags. Fuel should have read anywhere from 21,000 lbs (realistic) to 23,000 (DCS F-15C previous). All I got was 13,000 lbs. FYI, the internal fuel load for the F-15 is 13,000.

Please return the Eagle to it's proper load values.

Second, on spool-up, DCS is not recognizing my TM Warthog throttles initial setting for the F-15. I need to move the throttles a bit, then they are mapped. (This is the same bug that the Huey has on it's throttle. You need to move the throttle via cockpit mouse first, then the TM Warthog throttle is mapped.)

Finally, perhaps this was featured before but I just noticed it last night, I got shot down in a night flight and had to eject :music_whistling: and on my way back to earth, I could hear crickets! Or, was that just my computer's sound card in the process of dying?

Thanks Eagle Dynamics and friends. You are one of the reasons I love to come home and fly!!!

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

for the fuel, retry, and zoom into the fuel panel. see what's selected. you can cycle which fuel readings you get with left shift+D I think. It cycles from internal wings, external wing bags, center, and some other option or two.

Fuel and load outs are bugged as of latest update. Don't use external tanks and don't load missiles on the four fuselage stations. they seems to distribute weight incorrect. The four wing stations are fine. :)

i've read where this is a confirmed bug, but nobody i have personally flown with has experienced it. Is the game stacking all of the weight to one side or something? that's gotta be nuts on takeoff/

Hi All,

I was going to ask the "forum" about an issue I have with the F15C in DCS - FC3.

I made a small mission just to test fly my HOTAS Cougar Target files i made up.

When I have 3 ext tanks and full A-A weapons load (AIM120, 7 and 9's).

On take off the F15C rolls heavily to the RHS!!

Impossible to fly at the moment untill there is an update am guessing.

Just wanted to share my experiences and hope helps others.

Cheers

I only took off a couple times out of Sochi-Adler but I never had a roll problem, lifting off smoothly. The only difference from Spacky was I didn't have 120's.

The F15C really needs tuning. I dont understand the heavy roll to the right, but I have it too. I can usually compensate with heavy trim to the left, but it's anoying as hell.

There are several threads about this issue. If you have this problem the workaround is to only load missiles on the four wing stations. fuel tanks have no fuel in them anyway.

The EAGLE is my favorite to fly MP but for now the bird is in the hanger till the next patch/update

for full internal fuel, you need external fuel tanks. If you load up without external fuel tanks, and refuel your plane as much as you can, you will only get about 70-75% internal fuel.... with external fuel tanks you will get full internal but you will fly with empty fuel tanks, kinda, watch what happens with your internal fuel once you drop your external fuel tanks...

Not only the F-15C, the Su-27 also have the same problem, even it can't use the external tank.

If you set the planes loadout to empty in the ME and rearming it by the ground crew after entering the mission, the rolling problem will be solved. But stiil can't use the fuel in the external tank.

Was flying on the 104th yesterday and my external tanks had no fuel in them. I was loaded up with 2 Aim9s and 6 aim120s and didn't notice any roll behavior.

I also did jump in the VA server to do some tanking with the F15, and for some reason it was bugged as well. I had about 2000 lbs before I got gas. I stay attached to the boom and the gauge climbed to about 9,400, then it stopped and wouldn't go any higher. I did not get a transfer complete from the tanker, so I stayed on the boom. About 5 minutes later still connected, the gauge still read 9400 so I pulled off the tanker, with about 9,400 indiciated.

About 5 minutes later I look at the gauge, now its reading 13,500. And after afterburning around for a while the gauge refused to go down.

Don't know if that was introduced with this patch as well, but I vaugely remember issues with it a while ago.

This is probably because all our aircraft are set to Emtpy (weapons) in the Mission Editor.

Most people seem to have the issue when they load into the mission with a pre-set payload from the mission editor.

The infinite fuel is known, when you top your tanks all the way up from the tanker the fuel doesn't stop pumping into the aircraft... despite no longer being connected to the tanker.

Hopefully will be fixed soon so we can start using them again.... we've not been able to include them in our server for over 8 months now and we're really missing using them!

I should've read the forums more to know about the current bugs

Now my fully armed F-15 keeps banking on the right upon take off too... ~

I guess I'll have to do LOA from DCS for now..(which I'll be doing anyway because of the Christmas Holidays... out in the province and away from my DCS Rig)..until ED fixes this bug.

Beats flying the F-15 with half the Loadout..

I'll just do FS2004 & KanColle for now.. ^~

WOW.... I just read the new update notes, and NO fixes for these issues? WTF?! I havent been flying for a few days now thanks to this bug, and no, apperantly I wont be flying today neither..... Im pretty close to see what other options I got...! Its nothing but a SHAME on ED's part not letting us know if theyre even aware of this problem?? 5 days and NOTHING. huge dissapointment.... :(

Yeah your right it is disappointing I'm not going to lie, but don't loose faith guys.

104th will keep taking the Eagles up regardless, it is good practice for fuel management etc.

I'm confident the team will address this issue as soon as they can, just hang in there gents!

I tried the Ground Re-arm Tip and indeed... No more Right Roll Problem..

but then, the launching sequence of missiles is weird.. Only Left Side AIM-120s either from the Wing Rails or Fuselage can be launched first..

You're right, Maverick. It has forced me to pay much more attention to fuel management and that can only be a good thing. Although, I would like the bug fixed ASAP.

I find no problem at all the lack of external tanks. Actually, its even better since, without the extra drag and weight, the F-15 is so slick you can take-off at mil, climb to 30k feet and cruise for hours at M0.7 at 90% RPM. Remember you need fuel to carry fuel.

But of course it is a bug and should be fixed. The true problem is that people join multiplayer unaware, load bags, and then when in flight they jettison it and lose instantly half their fuel.
