Diveplane has already been at work creating a DB605 sound mod:

MSI P67A-GD55 | Intel i5 2500 @ 3.3GHz | MSI Twin Frozr GTX 760 OC 4GB GDDR5 | G.SKILL Sniper 16GB DDR3 @ 1333MHz | Corsair TX750 PSU | Corsair Force GT 90GB SSD | WD Black 640GB + 1TB HDDs | Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

DCS A-10C Warthog | DCS Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst | DCS Fw 190 D-9 Dora | DCS Ka-50 Black Shark 2 | DCS P-51D Mustang | Flaming Cliffs 3

OP isnt wrong as diveplane used modified DB605 sound samples for the Dora mod (there was a thread he debated it in with sby) instead of his originally intendet BMW801 sounds.

It's no suüride both mods sound very similar cause they are. Unfortunately the only 2 videos of the Fw190 D-13 running are too bad quality wise to really work with, though they have a clearly different sound pattern.

BMW 801 would have been wrong choice anyway as it's radial engine used by A model FWs. Dora and today released K4 sound mod exteriors have some similarities but interior sounds are completely different, nothing common between them.

already been discussed bf109 and jumo sound very similar , only difference being the jumo ran at a higher rpm, best we can get with limited footage.

Ok, if you explain the sound of Junker Jumo 213 this way, Im OK with your mod for Dora without any other complains. Im glad that you spend time on it and we can now enjoy at least very similar sound what it should be.

About the Bf109, I still would love to at least try to change some sounds and its settings. But I have NO idea how it works in DCS.:helpsmilie:

So if someone or you diveplane can help me to understand to it, I will be very happy.

and no the bmw audios not for the D-9 , if someone ever makes a A version these sounds will be included for it.

The Jumo and the DB-605 sound very similar in the way they put out exhaust gases (producing noice by the exhaust and cylinder firing sequence) but the Jumo runs at higher RPM thats correct and i told you that. But i told you also that the Jumo sounds more tinny, and does not have this deep growl of the DB-605. Or to be more exact has less of the DB-605s deep growl but significant less(means it has a Growl at higher freqency noises should be around500-700 Hz).

If its OK for you Diveplane i will have a look as soon as i can to the Jumo, and do some examples for you.

But i have been in Hospital yesterday and had an Operation at my left ear(Hurts like hell:mad:), so i hope you get the idea now. :)

And Gumidek

Just go on... more mods makes better mods.

Edit: Diveplane maybe its just me but i dont like this......effect...... this i dont know what this is but is that a backround effect?

I think it's excellent work DP. Very detailed and realism is top notch. The fact is that both engines were quite similar. Both were inverted V-12's but the Jumo ran slightly higher rpm (which it does in the Dora). I challenge the OP to come up with better. For me both of these (K4 and D-9) are fantastic sound mods and ratchet up the immersion tremendously. Thanks for that DP.
