dear Gents,

 

is there any "good" freeware painting software that can handle psd files?! I just want to get into skinning a bit...but don`t want to pay hundreds of € for Photoshop or a similar sw...

Adobe offers Photoshop CS2, while they never came out and said it's freeware, they offer a download for the program that does not require any kind of activation.

gimp is very good. and free.

 

I use it for many years now and I always discover new abilities and functionalities I never seen !

The Gimp (very logical, but not to Adobe users)

And then Krita

 

Krita is best for painting and texturing is such task.
