dcs updater incorrect version for win 64

Hi

 

well, as per usual, having problems with DCS. I swear this stuff has been going happening off and on since Flanker 2.0

Ahh well.

 

Currently my updater is refusing to update and the error I keep getting is: DCS_updater.exe cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of window..yada yada yada.

 

It won't do anything from the cmd window. just keep getting the same error over and over. This just started afte a fresh install and re-installing all the damn modules...again. At some point this isn't going to be worth the frustration. Feel like I've been on the BETA team for over a decade now.:cry:

 

anyone else having this isuue with a quick fix?

- i should point out it worked fina AFTER the fresh install and I actually got some hang time before this started.

What version of windows are you running? I havent heard any issue like this..

I don't remember we had an updater in flanker 2.0 or lockon :)

 

Anyways did you check out the sticky post about broken updaters etc.?

-Windows 7 home premium 64 bit is the version.

 

-and yes I did try to repair/update/renew/re-old etc etc the updater. it wont run at all telling me my version of window 64 bit is incompatible with this updater.

Try right click and.run as admin?

Also, you can install, repair the updater itself without re-installing everything.

Scroll to the bottom and download the 64 bit updater.

Sounds like an issue with the antivirus software which prevents the updater to run properly.
