I have changed the recommended LUA lines required for the mod to be used in unison with other mods (in my case ground textures 4.0 and 5.0), there is still a very obvious transition that I cannot be rid of, any help? I edited the farFullRenderDistance and nearFullRenderDistance and set them to 5000 and 3000 like the lua patch would have done and still nothing, I cannot for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong, any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

FireFox500

Sorry for late reply. If you are using the modded block_texture.dds you need to set those values (if they are still used by the game) to make the transition to that texture less obvious.

If your hardware is good enough it shouldn't be needed for that texture anymore so you can push those values far away so the texture would not load.

I will post some values in the evening after I recheck how it looks on my PC.

OK so it seems the other lines are for low quality texture (far LOD)

56 farDistance = 35000.0; --distance of loading the 3D building shape in meters

57 farFullRenderDistance = 25000.0;

58 nearFullRenderDistance = 7000.0;

59 nearDistance = 6000.0; --distance (in meters) of change from far LOD block_texture.bmp.dds to full texture IED home16a_bash.dds

I wanted to add some reputation points to Dimitriov but every time forum pops-up a message "Sorry, you can't be given points to this post"?!

P.S. We need more red brick like color roof in DCSW. TY

EDIT: I changed windows on the airport train station building in Tbilisi in the blue-green color, but can't make them transparent, although I tried to change the alpha channel. So now look a bit plastic.

yes you can. Is best to use folders with archive names especially with beta version so you know what can be remove safelly.

also JSMGE works with beta but you need to create a copy of the program folder and create and configure a new shortcut fo it just like with the first one. First time you start it it will ask again for the mods folder and it's recommended to say _MODS (instead of MODS that is used by DCS). Then build a snapshot file and you are good to go.

I've just started to look at adding mods and using JSMGE so please bare with me. I have made a _MODS folder which I would add a directory structure to match that of the mod folder in which the final mod will be placed. Which program folder do I need to recreate for this mod? Is it the DCS program folder and where would I create it and how would I build a snapshot file?

An idiots guide would be appreciated :thumbup: Thanks in advance.
