JaNk0 Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 As the topic says, will the Mig be upgraded in this game, or will it stay as it is?? I mean, look @ the noose :( [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RvETito Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Look at the fan at the bottom of the intake duct. Needs some rework as well. "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
GGTharos Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 No different than the existing Flanker/Eagle/Hog models ... I'm sure it will be 'upgraded' some time in the far future. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
SuperKungFu Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 The Mig actually looks a lot better than the crappy flanker. Damn i wish they improve on it but i guess there's just not enough time for them  [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SwingKid Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 You think the Su-27 is bad, look at the F-15E! :icon_eek: -SK
JaNk0 Posted April 8, 2006 Author Posted April 8, 2006 hahaha, yeah...the F-15 is something that need the been worked on. Not that i mean that it sucks, but some parts. SuperKungFu, i know you want that Su-27...you are dreaming about it, so am i...what i also know is that you want the Su-27 AFM right? :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RvETito Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 ...what i also know is that you want the Su-27 AFM right? :) Who doesn't? "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
SuperKungFu Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 haha yea Su-27 AFM would be great but i know thats asking a bit much since that takes like 6 months to do. A smaller request of a better model would do for now. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Alfa Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 haha yea Su-27 AFM would be great but i know thats asking a bit much since that takes like 6 months to do. A smaller request of a better model would do for now. A smaller request? :) It could take anywhere from 3 month and upwards depending on the model fidelity. This model: http://www.cgtalk.ru/exc.php?id=sds ...apparently took the artist nearly a year to complete :) . Ok it is the best Su-27 model I have ever seen, but then for Lock-on, you would also have to count in the time required for making LODs, damage parts etc Cheers, - JJ. JJ
SuperKungFu Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 lol yea i knew saying that would come around to bite me in the a$$. That is why i said "smaller" since it is technically smaller than asking for an AFM. I chose not to say it is a small request. lol [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 As the topic says, will the Mig be upgraded in this game, or will it stay as it is?? I mean, look @ the noose :( I see we are in the Lock On is crap mode. I don't think we are in need of a new MiG-29 model, or F-15 or Su-27 what we need is not eye candy - other things are more important.
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 No we're not, there has been some good crtiticism lately. But the external model is a low priority for me. What's wrong with the nose? Are you referring to the presence of vanes on the PS probe? So what? As Thomas said, we have more important things to be concerned with...like how that probe affects your pit. ;)
SwingKid Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 I don't think we are in need of a new MiG-29 model, or F-15 or Su-27 what we need is not eye candy - other things are more important. It would be easier to agree if you said that when the Chaparral model was rolled out, instead of lumping the F-15E lobby in with the others. -SK
Pilotasso Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Agree there are much more important things than aircraft polygons wich BTW will hog your system. .
Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 It would be easier to agree if you said that when the Chaparral model was rolled out, instead of lumping the F-15E lobby in with the others. -SK I for one am more than happy with the way Lock On looks - other than some polishing here and there and some welcome items in and around the airfields, I could easily live with this engine for a long time. A new map (I know, not an easy thing to do) with an improved ME (yep, hardwired in such a way as to make any changes hard to do) and I am more than happy. True, I am not an LOBS enthusiast - not my fault, I know 0 about it, I feel like the CIA felt in the Cold War trying to divine what that grainy picture is about , ED is being so tight lipped about LOBS as it can, by trying to avoid raising expectations about it they ended up with perhaps with a community with no expectations at all. Anyhow - I know of others sims that were developed in a similar way and I am sure it will be a new benchmark sim and a great success. ;)
SwingKid Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I for one am more than happy with the way Lock On looks I have to admit, your F-16 and MiG-29 screenshots were pretty convincing. Maybe you could post a screenshot of Lock On's F-15E? :) -SK
Vadifon Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 nobody overlooks the obvious. why is the Mig hiting f-16? 1 Сварка пепелацев, архидорого.
GGTharos Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 You mean because of the angle? I think it's just because the smoke effect is delayed. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Vadifon Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 yes ... because gun sight is higher Сварка пепелацев, архидорого.
ViperVJG73 Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 The first upgrade I hope is the smoke trail and comes with 1.2 out. :D Now I have it modded. ;) Best Regards Viper System: Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5, TM HOTAS Warthog;(MSFFB2 for testing); TrackIR4 +Track Clip Pro; Windows 10 Pro.
JaNk0 Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 :o HOW DID YOU MAKE THAT!! :horseback tell me! tell me! tell me! :p [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 You mean because of the angle? I think it's just because the smoke effect is delayed. right - that is the reason.
nscode Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 That smoke is too dense.... even for a 29 ;) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
Vadifon Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 right - that is the reason. Сварка пепелацев, архидорого.
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Has anybody else noticed that an aircraft which is smoking due to battle damage, continues to leave a trail...even when it is standing still on the ground. I noticed that yesterday with the A-10. I took a few good smacks from the CIWS on a Molniya...and even when I stopped on the ramp, I was leaving a long smoke trail.
