There's an axis assignment for the NPP course as well, I wonder if that blocks the keys/buttons?

However, it's... weird. The course needle rotates in a somewhat erratic fashion, and always in one direction only, no matter how the axis is adjusted - and suddenly the direction is just reversed. It's almost impossible to set the course.

I'd rather use one of my encoder switches if it was possible. The altimeter can be adjusted with the analog axis just fine!

The npp course needle axis seems programed for ministick axis.... Or at least with ministick axes works ok...ish but still quite imprecise.

A proper axis for it should be good.

A proper axis would be fine, and it works really nice with the altimeter - however, with the NPP, the endpoints would have to overlap a bit, i.e. you can have a 0 degree course at both ends of the axis, with some excess range left. The total range could be 340...0...180...0...20 or something like that. Just in case the axis is not accurately calibrated.

A rotary encoder would (IMHO) be more realistic (no endpoints), but using an axis to set an absolute course would be OK, and probably more accurate too. Assuming that the pots are good.

I still can not allocate NPP course set +/-the keys (i use encoder) - is is shown as a gray box, assign to the axis (pot) is possible, but it acts weird as above.
