StrongHarm Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) My wife bought me a Camaro 2SS for Christmas. I wanted to recommend it to you aviation enthusiasts because it seems that the designers had a fighter plane in mind when they drafted it up. First on the list is the color HUD. It contains: . Speedometer . Tachometer . G meter, left and right . Optimal Shift Zone Indicator . Gear Indicator . Compass . Temperature . Navigation Prompts . Song information . Traction Control Prompts Next is the Driver Information Center just under the HUD: . Digital Speedometer . Trip 1/2 . Fuel Range . Average Fuel Economy . Average Vehicle Speed . Turn-by-Turn Direction Indicator . Unit Selection . Tire Pressure . Remaining Oil Life . Coolant Temperature . Battery Voltage . Speed Warning . Lap Timer . Coolant Temperature . Battery Voltage . Oil Temperature . Oil Pressure . Acceleration There's an analog gauge bank just in front of the shift that shows the typical engine indicators. Then there's the Entertainment and Navigation Display, which is a lot like a MFCD.. I'm not even going to list all it contains, but some highlights are: . Gasoline - lists lowest prices by distance . Movies - individual updated movie listings . Weather, current/3hr/6hr, 5day, Advisories, Ski info . Zoomable moving map with waypoint capability and orientation settings.. very much like the TAD The headrest is reminiscent of those on ejection seats.. and the list goes on, but I won't bore you. The acceleration, suspension, computer driven racing aids, etc. all make this vehicle a beast and fun as hell to drive. It takes corners like an F-16. It's my own personal fighter jet without wings.. drive one if you're considering a new car. It's Sierra Hotel. joey45 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 What an ugly monstrosity! Being an American car it probably can't go round corners...:pilotfly: The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. NeilWillis Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I was thinking it, but I didn't like to say it.
StrongHarm Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Well.. it has 8 cylinders.. 4 more than they allow you in Europe :) Again, the parallels, the Hawg is an ugly monstrosity as well. We'd all park one of those in our driveway! MiloMorai Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Doesn't even come close to Ford's P-51, err Mustang. Who ever heard of a fighter called a Camaro?
joey45 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Would rather have a 67 Mustang... RH Drive stick shift..... Flagrum Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) Well.. it has 8 cylinders.. 4 more than they allow you in Europe :) Huh? No problem with 8 or 12 cylinders here. The thing is just, nobody wants to spend so much money on gasoline for what you otherwise could get a small, used car. Every month. Lol. (But those who can, will probably also not complain about the prices of such luxury cars - like Mercedes S Class, etc. ;o) Edited January 4, 2015 by Flagrum
