Living here in Belgium I have found a lot of commonality between words we used in Scotland and what they use here in Flemish (Vlaams).

I have no feeling for languages at all, been here for almost 10 years now and still cannot hold a conversation in Vlaams, I can read it tolerably well, but I cannot get the words out when I try to speak it.

Oh, and here a f*cker is a person that breeds animals :D

I my country we actually use "bis" to say, we want "another round" or a "repeat". I didn't know it meant "second" in latin, but it makes sense.

So you don't spell it "bi-aɪ-ˈɛs" like I've seen. You just read it as you would a spanish word, "bis".

It's really hard to learn the local language when everyone speaks your first language really well.

You will find many UK/Irish/NorthAm/Aus/etc expats living in Benelux or Scandinavia for 10+ years, not speaking the local language because the locals just speak English at them.

Bis is when you open the toilet door, walk to the toilet , raise the toilet seat and be caught in the action of key "R" in flaming cliffs...

Its like asking what 'Goose' means? A goose is a goose... Still someone from English literature department should answer.

According to the Wiki (yeah, yeah, don't shoot me), the first production variant of the 15 had the Bis suffix, so given this I wonder which one was the actual first one...

Whoa, that ain't right. The first production version didn't have any suffix. Stick to the english Wiki article, it has all the versions listed more or less properly.

Indeed. I can't stand hearing Wags pronouncing it wrong in all his MiG-15 and -21 related preview clips, but he's a Yankee, so I'm not surprised :D.

At least Bunyap knows how to pronounce it properly!
