I was told that MP tracks rarely playback correctly, but my single mission tracks always did their job.

After this recent update, they all playback wrong. My P-51 will chase after targets that aren't there, and fly into the ground. Tracks that were just fine are now going awry.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Are you running DCS via Steam or standalone? I have had a problem with my track-files getting more and more "out of alignment" the further into the mission I got (resulting in crash landings that never happened etc.) when playing the Steam version. The solution for me was to install the standalone, and now I have no issues at all.

Stand alone. I've never used Steam.

New updates always break tracks of a previous build. But to take things a step further, my tracks from SP never worked correct either.

There can be no "conversion routine" because of how replay system works. Tracks are not recordings per se, but just mission files, with all player's and AI controller input data added to them.

When You play the track, computer actually runs the mission again, while using saved controller data. Needless to say, for example - if the update changed flight model or AI routines, all units in the mission will behave different than they did before (usually crash and burn :D).

Yeah, this is one thing i really wish they'd fix but then, I'd rather have a working game (or shiny new DCS 2.0) than a working replay.

Yeah, I actually had to laugh at one, though. My son-in-law's P-51 attack on an AN-26. It was a great little "mission". But on the failed playback, he's off shooting at nothing while the AN crew is laughing their butts off (or, at least that's what I imagine.) Then he plants the P-51 seeds hoping for a late harvest.

I hear ya. Watching the pre-alpha 2.0 Nevadae Range vids have me anxiously waiting.
