Basco1 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Excuse my ignorance guys, how do I slew the TDC bars on the radar please? I can use the radar quite well, and can achieve what I need to do when using Air To Air IR or Radar missiles, but I would just like to know how to slew these TDC bars. The answer's probably staring me in the face within the manual, but I can't for the life of me find it. SNAFU Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 You can´t. Turn the nose to bring the gate over the target. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Unsere Facebook-Seite
Basco1 Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Thanks very much, thought this might be the case. PiedDroit Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 This might be obvious for both of you but I write it here just in case: you can slew the TDC, up and down only. When the jamming filters are on you can't slew it at all.

This is all I want to do,I want to be able to slew the two horizontal yellow TDC bars over the target, what keys or joystick operations are you doing this with please. I know I can dip the nose down to achieve this, but have seen xxJohnxx moving these bars to do this on his Youtube tutorial. joey45 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Look in the controls for TDC. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Elefant1301 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 The real life controls are located on the throttle (rotation of the handle). The keyboard keys can be set with the options, choose the keys that fit the best for you. I use a Warthos Hotas and a profile found on the net (made by PSY), I control it with a button on the throttle. Very easy this way.

Dipping the nose down won't work as the search mode is a top down view of the radar output (up-down represents far-close). The altitude of the contacts in relation to you is represented by the shape of the radar contact: T (lower than you) or inverted T. I don't know the controls (not at home now) I'll post them later if you don't have them in the meantime. It's also possible to map an axis or even the WH ministick by using a MAP_RELATIVE mapping in TARGET (I posted this somewhere in this forum).
Basco1 Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Thanks PieDroit,appreciate this.
