I'm worried that storms and rough seas won't complicate carrier traps. I'd love to have them as real as it gets, with a gyro stabilised fresnel meatballs and fully pitching deck (think silent hunter bridge view only full blown carrier)

Oh, and please make it steerable. I'm practicing naval aviator in FSX and just started with T-34C from virtavia and will move next to T-2 buckeye, then T-45 Gosh, and finally VRS Superbug ( I have them all, and thinking about developing a training campaign in FSX, as I also have FSX mission editor and getting into the game)

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Don't we have pitching deck already?

Don't see how we can as the carriers don't move at all.

Gotta set the weather accordingly, of course. ;)

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

From Matt's interview with Mudspike:

With regards to naval operations, will there be improvements to include things such as the marshal stack, case I,II,II recoveries, refueling tankers, LSO, and deck activity?

We have been working with a couple of Hornet pilots on this and we now have a detailed design document that covers this. We hope to be able to implement in detail.

So hopefully, yes! :)

Awesome!
