P5138 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I'm having an issue where the scan zone movement commands are only engaging when I release the key for the command, instead of allowing me to hold the key down and have it repeat. This is for commands: Scan Zone Left Scan Zone Right Scan Zone Up Scan Zone Down Radar Scan Zone Increase Radar Scan Zone Decrease Without being able to hold down the keys and have the Scan Zone continue to shift, it is very difficult for me to use my HOTAS effectively. I have experienced the issue when using the keyboard on its own as well as when programming the commands to DirectX inputs.

I think that's how it's designed to work with the keyboard and flightstick buttons. I have mine set to one of the hat switches and it scrolls the way you'd like it to. P5138 Posted March 28, 2015 Author Posted March 28, 2015 I think that's how it's designed to work with the keyboard and flightstick buttons. I have mine set to one of the hat switches and it scrolls the way you'd like it to. I just set the commands to a POV hat switch and they still only activate on the release of the button. I double checked the TARGET profile to make sure everything is normal there, and it is all set correctly.
IonicRipper Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Same problem here. Did you figure it out, P5138? i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I double checked the TARGET profile to make sure everything is normal there, and it is all set correctly. I set up my flightstick from within the sim, not with the stick's software. Wonder if that's the difference? IonicRipper Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 I've setup my controls from within the game as well and can confirm I have the same problem as the OP. i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Bourrinopathe Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I'm having an issue where the scan zone movement commands are only engaging when I release the key for the command, instead of allowing me to hold the key down and have it repeat. I have experienced the issue when using the keyboard on its own as well as when programming the commands to DirectX inputs. I also have the radar scan zone controls on a hat and it does not auto-repeat the input if I hold the hat direction (I'm using a VKB Black Mamba). I keep thinking it's by design, to allow a finer control while scanning. For comparison, the target designator does auto-repeat the inputs on a hat (and scrolls just fine). I assume you should be able to configure a macro command (or similar) with TARGET to achieve the scrolling feature you want (?). It's curious Ironhand managed to have that scrolling feature on a hat without any macro though. /// ВКБ: GF Pro MkII+MCG Pro/GF MkII+SCG L/Black Mamba MkIII/Gladiator/T-Rudder MkII | X-55 Rhino throttle/Saitek Throttle Quadrant | OpenTrack+UTC /// ZULU +4 /// /// "THE T3ASE": i9 9900K | 64 GB DDR4 | RTX 2080ti OC | 2 TB NVMe SSDs, 1 TB SATA SSD, 12 TB HDDs | Gigabyte DESIGNARE mobo ///

You may want to check Harle's posts in the same thread, as he also owns a Warthog. ;) Edited April 1, 2015 by Bourrinopathe /// ВКБ: GF Pro MkII+MCG Pro/GF MkII+SCG L/Black Mamba MkIII/Gladiator/T-Rudder MkII | X-55 Rhino throttle/Saitek Throttle Quadrant | OpenTrack+UTC /// ZULU +4 /// /// "THE T3ASE": i9 9900K | 64 GB DDR4 | RTX 2080ti OC | 2 TB NVMe SSDs, 1 TB SATA SSD, 12 TB HDDs | Gigabyte DESIGNARE mobo ///
Weta43 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Thanks :) Sounds good- if my MSFFB II dies, I might go there.. Cheers.
splash Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 No probs here. Mine's are CHs and they're programmed by CH Control Manager.
