Tango Lima Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I am not able to set up the Flaps correctly, not working well with your assigned list. Thomas
Nooch Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I noticed an issue with flaps too. When pressing the flaps down key, either the lever remains in the downwards position or the lever goes down as long as the key is pressed. It behaves randomly. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Buzzles Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I am not able to set up the Flaps correctly, not working well with your assigned list. Thomas What have you bound them to? Binding Ctrl-F (flaps up) and Lshift+F (up) to buttons 9 and 8 on my X-55 throttle works fine for me. Hold down button 9 for flaps to go down and it reverts to middle in the cockpit when I come off the switch, same for flaps up. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
Tango Lima Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 I have 2 different set ups. Out off the Game on the Screen call the Setup F-86F SIM and her is the Flap bug. In game In Flight call the Setup F-86F REAL and her is the Flap working. That why the controll set up not working as it should. I set it up the AXES sensibility out of the Game on the Screen Desktop and in game is the set up not present. I must set up my sensibility AXES againe ? Very strange anomalie her. a good test pilot is always in training Thomas
txmtb Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I have mine bound like the pic shows and they function properly. When you move the switch back, the flaps start to lower, move it to the middle position and they stop moving, move it forward and they start to go up. Note, there is a difference between F-86F Real and F-86F Easy controls, which control set is used is selected under the Gameplay tab. IIRC, if Game Mode is checked, it will use the Easy control setup, if not checked, it will use the Real control setup. Never messed with Easy controls so can't help that. :joystick: Win 10 64 Pro, MSI Z390 I7-9700K @5ghz Kraken Z63, 32Gb Corsair Dominator, MSI RTX-2070, 1TB NVME 2TB SSD's, TM Warthog, Pro Rudders, OpenTrack w/ IR Clip
Tango Lima Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Its not working. I have 2 differents set up the first one on Start is a DEAD F-86F SIM is for me a DEAD set up. When I start the flight and in Flight is my set up call F-86F REAL and this set up works. I don't use F-86F EASY setup This is on Screen at the beginning And there is a Big anomalie. If I set up her it would not working also the asigned axes. This is in Flight in Game. I must set up her the Axes Curvature to work and the Flaps to work it proberly. a good test pilot is always in training Thomas Edited April 5, 2015 by Thomas Loeffelmann
shagrat Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Seems your Controls configs are corrupted... check the files in your user profile/saved games/DCS World/Config/Joystick there should only be xyz.DIFF.lua no other lua files from older configurations, before the change. Tango Lima Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Its only the F-86F there is nothing only my Warthog and X-52Pro and Rudder Pedal. XYZ.DIFF.lua there is no old all from 05.04.2015 After you told me i did not know there is a folder, and I did not touch any think in this folder. The problem still exist. The Hawk, C-101 and FC3 F-15 and UH-1 works normal Edited April 5, 2015 by Thomas Loeffelmann
shagrat Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Ok, there is a slight chance this can easily be fixed, by generating a new control config from the default. To do this, close DCS World. - Go to User Profile/saved games/config/input - Delete the "F-86F" folder or move it to the desktop (ONLY the F-86F folder!) - now start DCS World and set your joysticks up again (DCS generates a new config file as soon as you change any settings and hit ok) If this fixes it, cool. If not, you may choose to switch the language to english I noticed you have the german localization. To change the language, you should open C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\lang.cfg and change DE to EN. Hope one of these do the trick. Buzzles Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I'd agree with Shagrat, looks like your control settings could be corrupted. Do as he says and delete your F-86 user configs from here: C:\Users\[username]\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\F-86F Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
zacklaws Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) I had this problem yesterday with the flaps, switch on joystick would not resolve it and finally got the lever in the neutral position using the keyboard, when I finally got it all sorted, I could not understand why I was flying nose up, trimming would not sort it out, thought gear might still be down for some unknown reason despite an indication gear was up so went to an outside view and saw the flaps still down despite the lever being in the neutral position. It shows up just after take off in the .trk filebm21.trk Edited August 10, 2015 by zacklaws
