Is there a new manual?

Hi

 

Been playing SU-27 since Lock On and all the Flaming Cliffs, but not flown for a year or so. I noticed a video today and the cockpit looks different and the A2A on the display on the right too. Apparently this was updated a while ago. Is there a new manual so I can get up to speed with the changes?

I am not sure if the FC3 manual has been updated, have to look into it.

 

edit #1 Just took a quick peek, looks like the FC3 manual hasnt been updated to the same version as the stand alone Su-27 manual... I will report it.

 

edit #2 I see the stand alone manual for the Su 27 is in the FC3 folder as well... so yes there is an updated manual in:

 

DCS World/Mods/aircraft/Flaming Cliffs/Doc/

A few pictures also need to be updated.

The HUD display/symbology has been slightly modified with the module/PFM release. Here's an example with the current manual picture on the right (and the correct display on the left):

 

 

Nothing important but keep in mind a very few pictures differ from the current simulation.

I have the SU-27 module inside FC3 and not the stand alone SU-27. I just checked and it is the old version of the manual. Where did you get the updated version of the manual?

You should see an FC3 manual, which is outdated for the Su-27, and you should see a Su-27 manual, which should be less outdated :D

The seperate SU-27 manual that I have in the FC folder last modified on 4/16/15 shows the HUD on your right side and not the updated version on the left side of your post #3 above.

I know the stand alone version requires some updates, and as far as I know they did the same thing with the FC3 manual, where it isnt updated at all, and the stand alone F-15 manual is in the same folder.

Sorry if it was confusing. It's my own modified version of the manual you can see on the picture (left side). It's not an official version.

 

Also I can confirm you should have the Su-27 manual in the FC3 documents folder.

Thanks for clearing up the confusion. Is there any chance you could upload the revisions that you have made to the manual so that the rest of us just learning the Su-27 can benefit from your efforts? I am learning the Su-27 so that I can eventually play the new campaign that is DLC that I recently bought.

Unfortunately, my version is not interesting in the current state, really. I barely modified the parts I was wondering about lately.

The layout is very messy and all the vector graphics are segmented (as its converted from the pdf to a simple .docx format).

It's more like an rough annotated version.

 

But of course, I'll gladly share it, if some chapters are polished enough.
