Usage of bonus

Hi, I have quite a substantial bonus that is building up over time, because all the times I wanted to use it, the order always said "You can use $0.00 to pay current order."

 

And still does. And did for every module I tried to buy thus far.

 

So what? I have a bonus that I can never use? That would be very scammish.

I have it, I want to use it in the future. Even if it means getting a module at full price.

You should be able to use part of your bonus if you are buying full price modules.

At least it worked for me - you can´t use any of your bonus for reduced modules however.

No problem, after a year or so, that annoying so called "bonus" is gone. :thumbup:

Simply do what others do too. Never buy a module for it's regular price anymore but later when it has a discount of 70%.

The bonus system is only applying for ED stuff, as they can't force 3rd parties to except discount on their products.

 

Then there is the sale where for obvious reasons, bonuses don't apply.

 

Also, pre-purchase Beta modules are reduced price and thus cannot be bought with bonus.

 

So what you can, and should do, wait for a module your not that interested in to go regular price and buy it anyway.

 

Or go and purchase a module you like and use it as a present to a friend of yours, giving him the chance to try out DCS, or use it as a present.

 

Or you could even make a funny online challenge - tournament whatever and buy a module at reduced cost to offer as a prize to the winner.

 

Maybe a good way to attract people to your virtual squadron, make your public server known and frequented etc.

You also cannot use the bonus to buy a module that you have already bought once.

You definitely can, just checked with the new Wepsite/shop. :smartass:

 

The Bonus is applied on the payment site (Sage pay), after the EULA acceptance...

 

You can check the option to pay from internal account, and it automatically redacts the allowed amount of bonus from the invoice.

I am glad to be corrected about that. I haven't looked in a long time but that was my biggest complaint about the bonus system. In the past four years I have bought at least three copies of everything that is available. Being unable to use the bonus, at that time, was most annoying.
