I just started with this module...

I was flying first mission of campaign, while suddenly my aircraft got broken, I was unable to fire cannon, later I noticed XXXX.XX indication where ammo counter used to be, left engine core RPM down to 70% (right 90%), and bullet holes on inner section of left wing. While none of multitude of warning lights was lit. My question is, shouldn't I under such circumstances get master caution? Avionics was able to detect there was something wrong with cannon (unless I set something wrong). left engine RPM wasn't matching throttle position and altitude, and holes in left wing. Isn't there inert gas pressurized fuel tank in inner section of wing?

Anyone feel welcome to correct me if I am wrong here:

- Your low engine RPM wasn't yet low enough to trigger a warning. Eventually something may have given out and triggered a warning (Pump gives out or oil pressure/fuel pressure gets low).

- Since you mention fuel was leaking you probably would have eventually gotten a low fuel pressure warning... must have been minimal damage.

- The GAU-8 doesn't communicate from what I can tell with the warning panel, there is no warning for it being damaged.

Thoughts?

Did you check the fuel flow on the left engine? maybe there was a leak in the left tank and the only way to notice is taking a close look at the fuel indicator, if one side drains faster then there is a leak.

And as Cow said, gun failure/jam is only communicated through the DSMS.

The best way to proceed with this type of situations is to save a track, or take some screenshots. Even taking a look at the debriefing window, which shows all the failures of the session, including non-caution-panel cautions!

Just now i finished a mission in "The Enemy Within" campaign by Baltic_dragon (highly recommendable!!!!) and i got hit by a zues gun, I lost my VHF FM radio and i wondered why in the hell the jtac wasn't responding. After I landed I looked at the debriefing and my antenna had been shot to shite.
