First off, I want to say that I am really enjoying the immersion of a Sim Shaker set up. I added two Asura Bass Shakers to my cockpit and then bought the Sim Shaker Sound Module for output.

So far it has been pretty good. Two little issues I've had though:

I had the same problem, looks like the ideal frequency for these particular shakers is about 38-42hz for maximum force. With the default 20hz peak output force tuned for the buttkicker line of shakers, I was getting pretty weak effects for many things, and some strangely aggressive effects for the few things tuned for that ~40hz sweet spot. I went though and edited many of the effects from 20hz to 40hz and have had much better results. I'd be willing to zip them up and share if anyone would like.

Also while experimenting with frequency shifting, I enable "verbose logging" in order to identify which effect was playing. Any time I had that feature enabled, after about 10 minutes DCS or SSM would get stuck in a loop and the last played effect continued indefinitely until SSM was force stopped though the task manager.

That would be very cool. Maybe Andre can bundle different base frequency presets with SM. Thus everyone could select the "correct" once in the options...

simshaker crash,

any idea how i can fix this? , I pull g's...simshaker stops working. I am using the sound module to drive buttkickers, no jetseat, onboard audio is the soundcard.

Is this a simshaker issue or a sound module issue.

Previous request for help unanswered.

What SSA version do you use?

It usually takes a few seconds for SSA to notice that you exited a flight

I had a similar problem if "Verbose Logging" was enabled in SimShaker Sound Module. I would make sure that check box is unchecked

ok I will double check but I do believe I had it checked.. thank you

Hi The_Nephilim,

thank you. The log data seems to be fine. Please try with disabled "Verbose Logging" and report the result.

Yes I did have Verbose logging on and I unchecked it and now it seems fine thank you again ;)

OK got it Andre, I do have a question about the Simshaker sound module. When I goto settings and try and select my sound card and .1 mono the setting does not set. when the program restarts the Dedicated sound card field is blank and I am unable to select it.

The way I have to do it is select (6) 5.1 and then select Asio device on which card to use in Voicemetter Banana..

I was wondering why I can;t select mono and my sound card perhaps a bug?

Thank you Andre the program is very cool..

I am still having this issue.. I am only able to select 5.1 and unable to select mono and Soundblaster Z

SIMSHAKER SOUND MODULE

RUB 1 700.00

- Buy once, upgrade the software for a lifetime, right?

- If I have to re-install Windows, will I have to buy software again?

Looks like your Soundblaster Z doesn't support mono format.

Well it stays there sometimes but when I run Voicemeeter bannan it usually dont work then when I restart SimShaker it dissappears... so it does sort of work but it dont stay there when selected..

How can I find out if it is compatible is there someothing ion the specifications thast would point to compatibility...

I am able to select 5.1 and use the VAIO setup but I am unsure this is correct as if I select Stereo sometimes I get extra noises in the VR Headset that should not be there ??

Will using 5.1 be ok??

I would recommend to use SimShaker Sound Module max. channel setting accordingly to your transducers number.

VAIO setup related things are mostly out of my scope. I provide the addon which plays low frequency samples via dedicated sound output device to feed your transducers by SimShaker for Aviators commands.

I'm not sure we could really find it somewhere. I'm sorry.

Well my Transduce number is One but as I said when I select that it does not stick.. now if I select 5.1 in SS I am able to use it but I don;t have 6 transducers..

I am hoping running the ASIO setup will be good for now as it does seem to work c orrectly.. If I run Stereo or mono I am unable to keep my soundcard selected and when it restarts I get no effects in the Transducer...

Do I need to do anything else to run in Vaio mode or it should be good as it is?? here is a screenshot of SS:
