Gentlemen, We are new to the Lock On scene and wanted to introduce ourselves to the Lomac Flaming Cliffs Community. I have already had the pleasure of meeting a few Pilots from this Simulation and I must say it is a pleasant surprise to see how friendly & helpful everyone is. We are predominantly a mission oriented Sqn that is interested in improving our skills. Hence our entrance into the Lomac FC Community. We will be gradually diving in as we get more experience in the simulation. Should we make any unintentional mistakes or transgression please forgive us. We hope to be able to offer some serious competion in the "Full Real" scene within about a year. Perhaps sooner, depending on the learning curve. Again, thank you to those pilots who have offered us assistance and we look forward to helping this community move forward and grow. ~S~!

Guest Hell Sqn Protos Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 S~! Gentlemen Thank you very kindly for the warm welcome. Truly I am shocked. Very pleasantly so. Our site the 13th Hellenic Virtual Combat Squadron is in my signature as is the Online War project HELL WAR we are working on for our main sim IL2 Pe-2. Please don't mind the badc website - its a decoy to keep the kiddies from using a site ripper, the real one goes up when we are live. We have been in existence for approximately 1.5 years though most of our pilots have been flying much longer for other Sqns. We formed the 13th as a way to improve our skills and to fly more effectively as a group. Lone wolf pilots are discouraged - read that not tolerated with us. Our Sqn is made up of the most experienced Hellenic Pilots in the IL2 community. Indeed my X.O. was the first Greek ever in the HyperLobby way back and was a co-founder of the largest and only Greek Sqn on the net for IL2 for many years. Sadly that Sqn has disintergrated from poor Leadership and cheating . 13_HsqnZeus is a fantastic dogfighter and is our Training Officer as well. You can see a bit about his exploits on the front page. We are 'FULL REAL' and plan to train that way as well. To date we have never lost a Pilot. We have so far zero turn over. Something we are immensely proud of. Our focus is solely on teamplay and cooperation. We are Mission Oriented and prefer the intensity of online war vs the air quake mentality. All our Pilots are over 21 with most having a degree of some type. The average age of our Pilots is about 33-34. Almost all are fully bilingual - (Greek, English) Are members span North America, Europe and of course Greece. The Squadron primary language is Greek, but you will be quite comfortable on our TS server should you happen to join. We are a very tough and competitive Sqn. But we fly with FULL honor. We have never cheated. Anyone even accused would be supsended immediately pending investigation. Confirmation would mean immediate dismisal and their name stricken from our records forever. We believe if somene outmanouvers us clean that they deserve their win - and we let them have it. We don't disco EVER. We don't use net packet programs or other hacks and our whole empahsis is on countering that mentality. That does not mean however that we are pushovers. We are very competitive and want to win. Indeed I have been known on occasion to talk a little smak to the 'dark siders' --- who think that flying above the furball at 6k looking for easy pickings [while the team players are 'actually flying the Mission'] makes them leet.:doh: :mad: Our primary Sqn objectives are Mission Completion. Just as in real life. We don't care at ALL for points or status. Those come naturally when your doing your 'job'. We like to give back to our community and when we post it is not to see our text but to actually make a contribution. Though again I have been guilty of sticking it to the 'punks,hacks or cheaters' occasionally :music_whistling: We realize that we have a long way to go to reach proficiency in Lock On Flaming Cliffs but it dovetails nicely with the personal goal of every 13th pilot. Personal improvement. We stress that highly in our Sqn and those who just want to play a few rounds arcade style are encouraged to look elsewhere during the probationary period. Again we have never lost anyone. Enthusiasm and love of flying is highly contagious! Well I think that was enough info to put just about anyone in a coma hehe. Sorry for the commercial. We hope to earn the respect of the fine pilots here in the Flaming Cliffs Community and look forward to meeting you all. It is understood that we will have a very big learning curve coming from a WWII sim, however we will do our best and hope you will bear with us through our growing pains. We will ease in slowly and try to do it right. Again terrific to be here and hope to see you all in the air soon.
