So my monitor being an IPS LED LG 22" only runs up to 60ghz max my resolution is 1920x1080 in 1080p, So i unlock my vsync in nvidia control panel and that gives me over a 100 fps min 30 fps on the counter, But when i view outside and use POV hat switch to view around the screen gets like an splitting effect, Is this normal or do i really need a better monitor graphics cards are gtx 980's in sli and im using an i7 cpu @4.0 nothing is overclocked, I have been told it can happen but any idea how to solve it while keeping the frames up? Or do i need a better monitor.

AKA has Screen Tearing, Which is what VSYNC is designed to prevent.

Leave VSYNC on, there's no point in rendering 100 FPS if you LCD Array is only going to be able to display 60 of them.

It sounds like Skates is on the right track. You won't be able to capture that in a screen shot.

Would be nice to have a 4k monitor but bear in mind that this won't solve the problem, whereas enabling vsync or limiting frames to 60 will. Also note, as already mentioned, that there's little point in running at over 60 fps if your monitor is running at 60 hz, so you're not missing out by limiting the fps in either of the ways stated.

Thanks for the help guys i did a little experiment this morning on my 40" LG HD tv and i was surprised that it was slightly better than my pc monitor i still had tearing but not to the extent that my pc monitor was showing, Even over a city firing the p-51 guns the frames didnt drop at all unlike my pc monitor which can drop to 17 fps, I was reading on 4k and some have said to wait on the 4k 120ghz monitors for gaming. I was looking at monitors.
