Skins

I know that this subject has been discussed before but I cannot seem to find any threads on it at the moment. I just downloaded some really cool skins but forget how to get them into DCS.

Could someone give me quick 411 on this.

I wish people would stop suggesting that location. ED have allowed you to put skins in the My Documents section for a reason.

 

Install skins here:

C:\Users\[username]\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\P-51D

 

This'll mean it is seperate from the core DCS files and not touched by the updater/repair tool, meaning you won't have to reinstall them when DCS updates.

I´ve never had to reinstall my skins in given location after updating DCS ..

They're custom files, so updater/repair script won't touch them as it doesn't even know they're there. Putting them in MyDocs only makes sense if You intend to delete and reinstall DCS often.
