4c Hajduk Veljko Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 When I host games, players who connect to my server always get “Waiting for server …” message. Then they have to “Esc”, “Quit” and simply click on “Fly” again and only then they can enter the game. Does anybody know why is “Waiting for server …” message appearing and how can I get rid of it? Pilotasso Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 The last time I saw this happen was because the server forgot to unpause the mission at the beggining. .
4c Hajduk Veljko Posted June 2, 2006 Author Posted June 2, 2006 But, I manually start the server. I press “S” and server is working. And I can connect to it through LAN, however, everybody trying to connect from the outside gets the “waiting for server” message. All they do is exit that screen and click on “Fly” again and it works. Ice Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Its probably more to do with it being a big mission (lotsa objects" and clients not having a GIG or more of ram.
4c Hajduk Veljko Posted June 3, 2006 Author Posted June 3, 2006 Do you have Port 10308 TCP/UDP forwarded correctly? You got it Mustang! Thank you verymuch! My problem was that I had only TCP port open. Now TCP and UDP ports are open and "waiting for server message" does not show up any more! My server is working now.
