I was only able to jump in and just spawned one group to check it out and make sure it ran. No problems and it looks very exciting about what you're doing. Nice job! I do have one question, and forgive me if the answer is already in my hands in terms of a readme (I'm at work and have no access to it and just thought I'd ask what came to mind after reading more of this thread), are you able to adjust what type of planes get spawned? Let's say that I want to create a pseudo-Korean era type mission, can I restrict the planes to Sabres and Fagots? Or go for a WWII type scenario and only have prop planes get spawned or helos and ground targets only? The latter one I think is already possible based on what groups you decide to spawn, but the others I'm curious about. Anyway, thanks for sharing this, especially with how many hours/days you devoted to this particular piece of work. S! sir. LFCChameleon_Silk Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 (edited) @Justificus set difficulty to WW2 (should spawn from the WW2 planes) set difficulty to Korea (should spawn MiG-15s or F-86) set difficulty to Vietnam (should spawn trainers or MiG-21 / F4s set difficulty to Gulf War (should spawn Mig-21, Mirage, F-16 blk 50) set difficutly to modern (F-16 blk 52, F-15C, Su-27) not enough helos for early eras so only lower difficulty they are transports and unarmed. Its possible to spawn only ground forces with no air element and vice versa. heres an example: you want to go practice strafing runs in P-51D but don't want to get blown up, set difficulty to WW2, turn off IR and radar sams, turn off enemy CAS, turn off AAA, turn off helos, turn off allied SEAD. the result is a group of unarmed trucks and some infantry would be spawned. in set options the A2A parameter controls the amount of planes being spawned in the enemy group. finally there is a disturbing lack of readme for new players to look at :P chalk it up to just being to busy to write a good "how to" as I wrap up the core features of the miz/script I will attempt to clean up briefing and information as to how to use the task menus. @Relayer the JTAC thing would be very complex to setup, so adding JTAC would be very difficult. the main issue is the randomly selected group names and the LOS, I've never had good results with JTAC in DCS (well depends on the version of DCS) just generally never wanting to work properly. this would be a huge pain for little reward for little more then we already get from mission info.... I think generally it would be better to provide a fake JTAC via the mission info instead. its just a lot of work for possibly no gain, when there is other things needing to be done.... having said all this I will take a look at whether its even feasible to do. Seems to be coming from starway ground texture mod (runs out of memory even though I have a GTX970 card). When disabling it, I can launch the mission but have the texture bug explained at page 1. Wasn't able to make it work even when disabeling all my mods and doing a steam repair to be sure to have the original files. Which mod(s) are you using ? I think thats the issue right there, your files can't be refreshed because most mods change lua inside some dcs files and the steam verification is just checking (maybe file sizes) if the file is present. a modified file would then not get replaced (if same file size) so a 0 becomes a 1 and steam would skip it. as for install: you just run the miz and play on a stock and non modified DCS the miz runs 100pct of the time. just be patient when its loading (some people assume stopped responding is a crash) when really its still loading.

Will try again later and copy/paste the log and a screen. Could also try to install a non-steam version to see if working. Which mods do you have enabled ? Reload Simshaker, UltraMFCD if you have them and try again. I did have a problem with both and reconfigured the 'Saved Games" folder and all good and working without any problems. That being said I will add various mods with JSGME see if any cause problems. I think the export.lua may hold the answer, but I am no expert just one mod at a time. I've been trying to get my MiG-21 interception on 2 MiG-23MLDs to go my way, can kill the first one with an R-3R but the 2nd one I'm struggling with! goodtimes. I did notice some issues with the mission complete stuff but its purely cosmetic and not critical, something more for me to patch up in the future.

LFCChameleon_Silk Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 to be honest I'm spotting errors quicker then they can be reported! thats either a really bad thing (so many errors) or a really good thing (getting rid of issues) :P I fully expect the mission completes to still be somewhat not fully correct but hopefully we won't get any spammy messages telling us we've won 50 times in a row clogging the screen now ;)
