Yeah, IIRC they contemplated whether to eject or land, and decided to divert to an airstrip because they didn't want to risk a carrier landing.

The other Tomcat (this was the result of a midair collision) crashed though.

 

There is also a tale of a F-16 landing with half a wing.

The unique thing about that israeli F-15 incident is that really the whole wing on one side was missing.
