cichlidfan Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Lots of talk of cheap SSDs, but price hasn't budged much. I paid $300 for some 500GB Samsung EVOs, a year and a half ago. I recently paid $160 for the same drive. phant Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 A good 1TB SSD costs about as much as my GTX 970. I don't see 10TB being mainstream anytime soon... I think he's speaking about new NVMe PCIe Samsung technology. Hardware will be fine in short period but don't know about price. Bye Phant
SkateZilla Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I paid $150 for a 500GB Evo, and $179 for a 500GB Pro, One of the companies I work for is testing Samsung's Larger Enterprise Drives... Stupid fast. Once 48-Layer NAND is in full swing, 10TB for a 2.5 Inch Drive, and 4 TB for a M.2 Micro Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
