[CLOSED] Why isn't the skin of Ka-50 glossy like other planes

The glossy skin of the Bf 109 looks amazing and very immersive in 1.5. But the skin of the Ka-50 is still matte as it was in 1.2, which becomes an immersion killer in the super realistic graphics engine.

 

P.S. I've maxed out the graphics settings.

I think it's skin matter. New skin with compatible with v1.5 needed.

Yes, the 109 skin was developed with 2.0 in mind, the Ka-50 was developed before EDGE was a twinkle in ED's eye, its possible it might be more than just a skin thing, its possible the model might need to be re-exported, but havent messed with Ka-50 skins.

Keep in mind everyone that military aircraft are usually painted in matte (flat) colours; it reduces sunlight reflection and makes them harder to spot. Only canopies and bare aluminum surfaces should be sparkling glossy.

 

Gloss paint looks good on civilian aircraft and may help keep temperatures down; it looks good on boats and cars too. In a military aircraft it might get your bunz shot off!
