Redacuragsr Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 When taxing in the Flanker my speed on the HUD says 80KM if I am parked or going slow, until I hit 90Km my speed doesn't change.
Exorcet Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Some aircraft don't show speeds below certain values. This may be a correction to the Su-27 HUD. Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
Redacuragsr Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 If this was a correction wouldn't it be in the change log? Well just in case its not they will know about it now.
DarkFire Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) Don't forget that calibrating your systems pressure setting to the airfield QFE affects the displayed IAS, particularly at very low speeds typical of taxiing, in addition to affecting the readings provided by the barometric altimeter. Edited to add: OK, it seems that the ground speed is pegged at a minimum of 80Km/h. I guess that this has been changed to be realistic, as the aircraft is probably measuring taxi speed with the pitot tube which probably can't read beneath that speed. mpdugas Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 This is a change that DCS made to Russian aircraft; see my thread on SU25-T bugs in 1.5. Minimum speed shown now is 80 kph.
Steel Jaw Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 F16 HUD speed tape doesn't show anything less than 30 knotts. Stuge Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Obviously not all changes are in the changelog. For example all missiles seem to have their tracking abilities drastically improved... http://www.104thphoenix.com
