This is the third time I get this error. At:

- installation

- first update

- second update (apparently released today)

The shift+rightclick on bin directory to open cmd did not help. Same error. I had to copy the updater from temp manually.

Same here on Windows 7 X64 portuguese version.

 

Plus:Im trying to install in a differen hardisc to save "space" in my main SSD.

 

My official DCS installed on

C:\Arquivos de Programas\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World

 

And the open beta as follows

 

F:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Open Beta.

 

Any ideas guys ?

 

PS.: Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x64) - 12.0.30501 installed

Had similar problem, which I fixed by making sure Application Experience service in Windows 7 is enabled and set to automatic. Basically when this service is disabled Windows 7 locks an executable file for several minutes after they finished execution and you get those nasty access denied errors.

Wow, what a find! Thank you for posting this, I'll try to make a workaround in the updater itself.
