  1. If you really want something to read there is always this... :) https://publicintelligence.net/u-s-navy-natops-av-8b-harrier-ii-flight-manuals/
  2. Also noticed their main DCS website is down too. Probably activation server is down too?
  3. For some reason I had a feeling that ED will include this on map 100% :D 37° 38' 49" N 115° 44' 44" W
  4. Had similar problem, which I fixed by making sure Application Experience service in Windows 7 is enabled and set to automatic. Basically when this service is disabled Windows 7 locks an executable file for several minutes after they finished execution and you get those nasty access denied errors.
  5. It's funny how discussion of Su-27 brings arguments about using Pugachev's Cobra. In my books if real plane can do it, we should be able to do it in game, and it does not matter if its not effective in combat. Well sometimes it can help, had a lot of situations where Cobra would have helped me get a kill in MP.
  6. Ka-50, flying it since day one and still keep coming back to flying this beast. whereLearning Huey and Mi-8 actually further improved my skills in Ka-50.
  7. Mainly you study maps before taking off take note of any unique terrain features, especially close to your waypoints. To help you you can create a simple diagrams, something similar to this: Where you basically note distance, headings and time for path between waypoints, additionally terrain features might be drawn there. To help the pilots there is is usually also manual flight "computers", such as NL-10M, NPL-M. Basically equivalent to the E6B flight computer. NL-10 looks similar to regular slide rule, while NPL-M is basically kneeboard with built in flight "computer", looks like this: http://gallery.greedykidz.net/get/990229/sf-avia_2011_compressed_ed-DSC_9276-2.jpg?g2_serialNumber=1
  8. You don't bring missiles to a dogfight :D If F-35 manages to get into a dogfight with Mig-21, pilot of F-35 deserves to get shot down....
  9. Just though I should add a little illustration of the process, from MIg-21bis maintenance manual.
  10. In Russian cockpit that "LND" label is labeled as "СПС" - "SPS". It is strange how there is SPS switch but on throttle it's labeled as "LND". Real world manual actually mentions when landing not to go beyond BLC stop. That is if you plan to land with BLC system active and not end up as a big fireball on the runway. :)
  11. Just think of Mig-21 as human controlled SAM missile, you get withing range following GCI instructions and engage the target.
  12. It is more terrifying when you hear it from person who actually flew this beast. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2125128&postcount=929 Short translation during touchdown, pull the stick back until it hits the seat. :D Sure, it's the switch LV15
  13. So it looks like my initial low FPS was fixed, now getting FPS within "normal" range of 25-35 FPS for MIG-21 with my specs. Adjusting settings, and doing 500 Mhz overclock on my CPU was the fix.
  14. Su-22 would be cool, but as for ground pounding I think Su-24 would be more interesting. :)
  15. In my case it's probably crappy CPU all the way back from 2010 running at stock clock speed. I might have better GPU but for DCS it does not matter.
