Punisher74 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Providing the ability to place a object like tanks, farp, infantry, etc then open a preview window to adjust the initial heading, formation, location on mountain, etc. without having to enter the mission to preview the positioning of the units. Or use outdated witchcraft to do such. Thanks, Lt. Skitter Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 That would be brilliant. I've seen stuff like that in "Dangerous Waters" game mission editor. +1 if possible.
Witchking Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Similarly, it would be awesome if we can actually dynamically see the unit direction like in TACview in the F10 view. joey45 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 In one of Wags vid they said they are working on a 3d type ME.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. "Me, the 13th Duke of Wybourne, here on the ED forums at 3 'o' clock in the morning, with my reputation. Are they mad.." https://ko-fi.com/joey45
FSFIan Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Until ED integrates a 3D view into the new editor, you can use this hack to tide you over (at least for ground units). DCS-BIOS | How to export CMSP, RWR, etc. through MonitorSetup.lua
Punisher74 Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 An Example of where a preview screen in DCS would come into use. The FOB I build in one of my upcoming Campaigns took about a week to build and create. Thanks, Lt.
