Hi all,

I just upgraded my graphic card from a GTX680 to GTX980Ti and do notice a performance increase in the outside view (now about 40-50 fps what was about 20 fps before) but no significant performance improvements in-cockpit.

(my CPU: i7-3820@3.6 GHz)

Do I need to re-install/repair etc. after upgrading my graphics card?

Kind regards

Thanks, but my graphic drivers are already up-to-date (Geforce Game Ready Driver 358.50)

I was thinking about DCS World internal settings that might need to be updated...?

I'd say no, but are you sure you're playing on 1.5?

Because i had with my GTX 970 on 1.2.16 about 40 and now on 1.5 more then 60 with nearly max settings.

I think it's up to your 980 Ti, have you tried OC?

Yes, DCS World open beta at newest version (1.5.0.045655)

The 20 fps are flying with A-10C low over a city with TGP on. On high level flight I also get 40-50fps (similar fps also in outside view with depth of field setting BOKEH). My graphic settings are all at max.

According to "Asus GPU TweakII" my GPU is running at nearly 1400 MHz

Not sure what happens, I only have a 970 and I have 100-120 fps most of the time, dropping to 70 sometimes.

Something not correct with your system.

I have this results even with might 21 bis, just dropping to 50 fps on some external views.

Seems strange to me, I would do a clean reinstall of Nvidia drivers, reboot, adjust Nvidia 3d settings/DCS graphics options.

Performance has been a big boost for me with the 1.5 beta for the most part.

There are a lot of variables at play here I think.

It wouldn't hurt to run a test outside of DCS, ideally with a benchmarking program like 3DMark. If there is a flaw with the card, that would be useful in proving it.

980ti is significantly faster than a 680, the only way you'll be getting the same performance with it as a 680 is if you're using higher settings either inside dcs, or outside dcs in the nvidia control panel... the grass/foliage and trees in 1.5 seem to bring any card down to its knees, i suggest turning those two things to minimum and seeing what happens.
